Coop plants
I bought some lemon balm seed today to plant around my coop. Does anyone have experience with this plant around the coop? I am hoping to deter rodents. I couldn’t find mint on the seed rack.

❄️cold weather❄️
Good Morning, I hope everyone is doing ok, we are finally up to 26 degrees in Alabama and I was wondering how everyone’s chickens are doing with the cold the last several days.

@Debbi Jesse I have cinder blocks in mine for them to stand on, but I only fill it with a few inches of water, I have one for dust bath but they do love to play in the water. I made a ramp going into the pool and one going down to the block, which isn’t a whole block, just a few top pieces. That being said, I am not a pool person, so I understand your chicks choice too.

Hi everyone, I’m Katherine from East central Alabama, about 12 miles approx from the Georgia state line. I have had chickens off and on for years, but my newest flock is a year old. I have 4 black sex link hens, no roosters because I only want eggs and not babies. They are collectively called “girls” they all look identical, so names would be useless. We live in a rural area but I don’t free range because we do have plenty of predators around. I’m excited to be here, and read tips and advice from everyone.
