Supercharger makes for a neater looking overall engine appearance. Turbos will build more power but you're racing at that point and looks are out the window. So... Street car = Supercharger for my vote.
427 oil pan clearance?
Hey guys. I have what I believe is the Holley 302-1 oil pan (7.xx sump width) because I need rack and pinion clearance in my 69 Nova. I plan to put a Blueprint Motors 427 LS in the car. Read somewhere that there may be clearance issues with this oil pan on that stroker motor. Anyone have any idea? Thanks.

@Ict Billet Yes it is. I am dropping an LT4 Supercharger setup on a LS motor so I will be hitting you guys up for the adapter package. If I plan on a Vintage Air compressor, what accessory bracket packages and other things will I need from you guys? Note: do you do heat exchanger systems for this type of swap? Thx

Well... since you guys liked the Nova so well, I might as well post pics of the car we have been working on since Thanksgiving 2020. Have to get the "wife's car" done before I can start on my Nova. It started out as a completely trashed 1974 Corvette. The first year was spent rebuilding the chassis with all new 2020+ technology and a 2015 LS3 Camaro SS, six-speed drive train. The motor got perked up with a TSP Stg 1 cam, 660 springs, trunion kit, and a heavy duty oil pump. Runs on a Terminator_x setup with Doug's Header Sidepipes so Im guessing around 475 to 500 hp at the engine. Has Global West lowered front suspension and offset rear suspension with Viking double adjustable coilovers and a Sharkbite rear suspension. Different was rebuilt by Tom's in Chicago with a true trac carrier and 3:73 gears. The original body was too trashed for my taste so after a year if working on it, and half way done, we piveted and bought a 1973 body for it. Two more years and $17k later, you see it in her choice of HoK Wild Cherry two tone red. It will be finished up with a medium tan full Al Koch interior, Dakota Digital gauges, Vintage Air, GPS enabled flip screen stereo with backup camera, 3rd tail light, LED lighting throughout and Dapper 575 headlights. It also has electric headlight door kit, DS wiper kit, and a Hydroboost system to power the complete Wilwood Superlite 6 piston brake setup. Doing all the body mods, twice, was a real setback. I got seriously tired of fiberglass. Putting the car together has been a two steps process continually, as in 2 forward and 1 back. It is a real eye opening process of bringing a 50+ year old car into the 21st century tech wise. Lots of systems to use but none of them were meant to work together so there have been lots of stops along the way to research and see how others have done things. Im tired... but we are down to the wiring and interior. Its getting there!
A Week We Won't Forget
Here's a quick update on everything that's unfolded over the past week. To put it simply: it's been one of those hard stretches that suck to go through and see all the time spent, burned away in a matter of minutes. It started last Monday when the transport company that hauls and sets up our show trailer picked it up for the run to Holley LS Fest Vegas. Tuesday evening, the call came in. Our driver was on the side of the highway, panicked with flames shooting out of the trailer. He tried to fight the fire to no avail. By the time the nearest town's fire department arrived, the entire contents of the trailer had been consumed. Getting that news over the phone, hundreds of miles away and completely helpless, was gut wrenching. The aftermath was no easier. Getting the salvage off the highway was a massive and expensive undertaking. The fire burned so intensely that the leaf springs separated from the frame and the wheel wells folded over. Every one of the six tires had to be replaced before the trailer could move again. All told it took seven hours just to get it rolling. We flew out to assess what was left. Being there in person made it real for us. Seeing so many of our memories, burned to crisp was tough. All that was left, is a handful of burnt engine and supercharger cores. To add insult to injury, insurance has denied the claim. We are not giving up on that fight, but the painful reality is we cannot touch the trailer contents until a later date. The problem is we need those engines to keep functioning as a company. We use them to mockup parts, test them and take photos with. Meanwhile, LS Fest Texas is less than three weeks out, and we refuse to miss it. So we bought some locked up engine cores that we currently are prepping so we have something to show in Texas. We are very fortunate that something actually bad didn't happen, such as someone getting hurt. This is a minor setback and will be back to full strength soon again. We launched a limited edition smoke gray flag shirt for anyone who wants to some cool new gear to help us out, since we lost almost all our shirt inventory in the fire. We will keep you updated as things develop. Thank you to everyone who has reached out to offer your support. You guys are the best and it means so much for your support!!

Thanks for putting my car in rhe voting list. Hope to be calling later today for more ordering... but we did get our shirts on order for now. It is heart breaking to see what happened. Im sure the picture will be different a year of "what if..." from now. These sort of unfortunate happenings have a way of breeding the most intuitive outcomes. BTW, you guys do tours? We might swing by on our way home from Sturgis this year. Its only 2 hours away.
