Taking Time to Land Before the Retreat Begins
Last year I took on a big build. From March through December, I poured a massive amount of time into creating course content, filming, branding, and uploading everything into the Passion platform. It was a full push to bring this work online in a real way. But the platform itself became a challenge. On both sides—mine and the users’. Videos were disappearing, uploads were failing, and the experience became frustrating. Even with that, many of you stayed with me through it, and I don’t take that lightly. By December, it was clear: something had to change. So I moved everything over to Skool. Within two weeks, I had the first two courses rebuilt and a good portion of the library back up. We launched in January, and honestly—it’s been the simplest, cleanest platform I’ve worked with. There’s still a learning curve, but it’s night and day compared to before. Because of that transition, I didn’t put much energy into retreat enrollment until about 8 weeks out—which, as I now know, isn’t enough runway. Still, here we are. I arrived early to land, slow down, and reset before welcoming 8 people into this next retreat starting March 21st. And this place… it’s a big step up. I toured this center last year, and it feels like a true upgrade from where we began in Costa Rica. You can feel the space holding something different. I’m grateful. Grateful for the people who’ve stayed in it. Grateful for the growth, even when it’s messy. Grateful to keep building this work and refining how it’s delivered. The vision moving forward is simple: Grow the community. Add one local retreat each year. And maybe… one more international retreat annually. We’ll see how it unfolds. For now—here’s a glimpse of Chacala, just before it all begins.
