How to embrace ones shadow?
Hello everyone, I am currently studying Carl Jung's concept of the 'Shadow', which I find quite intriguing. Carl says that one should be aware of his shadow and integrate it into his life. I am aware that I have a shadow, but I am now confused as to how to identify which behavior is of the shadow and, after identifying it, how one can integrate or embrace it in his life.

@Shahnawaz A try writing about your past & taking a personality test. The shadow is all the parts of you which you’ve rejected. Some consciously and some unconsciously. It’s to discover what parts of you that are unconsciously making decisions in your life. Peterson has a program called ‘self authoring’ that lays out a platform for you to write about present faults & virtues, then to fully lay out your past and write about it. Your unconscious mind has stored everything you’ve ever experienced, and it’s up to us to explore that territory. Watch yourself closely on how you act in different situations.
Stumbled upon this in Carl Jung's Autobiography and it's fascinating
Carl Jung got KO'd as a kid and had fainting spells, but realistically, he ALLOWED them to happen. When he decided to not allow them to happen anymore, they put up a little resistance, he fought through them, and then realizing the futility in this, they went away and never recurred again. He also says he gradually "saw clearly that I myself had arranged this whole disgraceful situation. That was why I had never been seriously angry with the schoolmate who pushed me over. I knew that he had been put up to it, so to speak, and that the whole affair was a diabolical plot on my part." Our boy Carl legitimately manifested this to happen so he could spend more time out of school and in nature. @Mike Bogucki will argue with this manifestation as it's not scientifically proven, but who's more qualified to discuss this than Carl Jung?

@Jeff Marr I fully agree. I suppose my version includes doing things for others also. Your story should inspire others as a consequence of you living yours. Your story should impact others. And maybe your story continues with spreading your ‘love’ & values within your family & community. Having children is a good way to assure your family values & name lives on. Almost like living life with a connection to G.

@Mike Bogucki I could agree if ego went interchangeably with ‘personality’. It’s not a meaning of life we must seek rather to seek meaning in life. The meaning in life can be found within what calls to you, which can be routed in your personality.

@Josh Smart same bro, same. I’ve yet to dive into Jung just yet, but he’s next up for me. You’ve come to the right place sir!

@Josh Smart I feel I do too. Is there a specific reason why? I have my reason, but would like to hear your perspective.
Stoicism On Israel - Palestine Conflict 🇮🇱 - 🇵🇸
A Stoic Focuses on those things in their control because this war isn’t just two countries. This is promoted by the military industrial complex that needs war in order to make a profit. All incentives are not aligned. There will always be another war stealing your energy. Focus on what you can affect at home and make your own community and government better. You care about this war because it’s being promoted to you. I encourage you to think back to the start of Ukraine and Russia and think about what you got with your attention for that… wasted days. This too shall pass. Time is limited my friend, choose where you spend it wisely. In the end, my heart hurts for all who have had their lives destroyed or lost in this conflict and all others. I wish for peace for all and hope it's resolved quickly, even if that too, is out of my control.

@Mike Bogucki this is a good conversation for post-philosophy, which have been slapping lately. Perhaps we should introduce tea and a small bite after, for the sake of “sharing bread”.
