Two further bossa-nova-approaches
Hey everybody. As I'm into bossa nova a little bit at the moment, I'd like to share two further approaches, that I picked up from Anthony and that I'm exploring now ("work in progress") under his guidance. >> Thanks at that point to the brush-master. 🙏 In one of the examples I play two different accent-patterns with the RH, while the LH hand is sweeping. You can find these in the BGOD-PDF on page 42. And preliminary exercises on page 40 and top of 41, which I play ahead in my clip, before going into the patterns. >> Suggestions for improvement are very welcome.

Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays to all the Swishy Brush Legends
Merry Christmas for all those who celebrate it and happy new years to everyone else. I hope everyone has a great time over the holiday period. It has been a pleasure hanging out and playing drums with you in 2025. Thanks to @Anthony Stanislavski for putting this great community together. :)

What is your Core Desire with Brushes?
Hey friends, in preparation and planning for next year's lessons, I would love to hear what you are wanting to improve with your brush playing. Is it a specific genre/groove? Is it a specific technique? Is it logical choreography to overcome a specific problem. Looking forward to hearing how I can help

@Max Prangnell Très bonne idée, j'y adhère. Bonnes fêtes de fin d'année .-)
Welcome!
Let's get to know each other! Comment below sharing where you are in the world, a photo of your favourite snare drum, and something you like to do for fun. 😊 I'll go first - I live in Melbourne Australia, my favourite snare is the Gretsch 2mm Copper 14x5 (with Kentville Kangaroo Head) and I love long-distance running 🏃‍♂️

A plus de 55ans, je débute la batterie à l'académie de Jazz. Je joue un peu de sax baryton (classique). Je connais quelques riffs de basse.
