Sheri at the Texas Fruit Festival!
@Sheri Hudgins played with me for a whole hour at the fruit festival yesterday! Go team Flutarians Improv! I haven't listened to the recording yet, but an attendee captured this moment and I thought I'd share with a yall a peek into our day yesterday! 🙌

What fun! Glad you could do it together!
What song could you listen to over & over again?
This one used to be one of my favorites to put on repeat. I haven't tried improvising with it lately though. I'll make a video with it soon. What about you?

Teach Us Something💯💯💯Where else are you improvising?
This group is not just about me teaching what I've learned... It's about us sharing what we've learned and supporting each other! Let's start a trend of teaching each other. What's something that you learned in your life, maybe even outside of music, that is helpful to your improv journey? Next, the INTROS CONTEST

In sales you learn about product and some things to say but when you're in front of a potential client you have to meet people where they are: Figure out where their at in life, what they want to accomplish and how you can help, sometimes you can and sometimes you can't. So you move on to the next potential client and continue to build relationships with your current clients and future clients. Applying this to Improvisation: Learn the basics first: melodies, scales, arpeggios, rhythms, progressions, etc. Find a song that will apply those basics in a straightforward, relatively easy way. Like Nursery Rhymes or songs you already know. Figure out and play the melody without the sheet music. Find another song but keep practicing the first song. If you try a song that's too difficult set it aside for now and find another.
