1️⃣ What was Jesus’ name originally?
2️⃣ What was Jesus’ name originally? Jesus’ earthly name was: - Hebrew/Aramaic: Yeshua (יֵשׁוּעַ) - Meaning: “YHWH saves” or “The LORD is salvation” So when Scripture says there is power in His name, it is speaking of: His identity, authority, nature, and divine mission — not the spelling. 3️⃣ Why does the Bible say there is 💥 POWER in His name? Because a name in Scripture represents authority. 📖 Key Truth: In biblical thinking, a name = who someone IS, not what they’re called. 4️⃣ The Bible is VERY clear about the power in His name 🔥 Authority & Salvation “There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” — Acts 4:12 This is about exclusive authority, not phonetics. 🔥 Supreme Authority in Heaven & Earth “God has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name…” — Philippians 2:9–11 This refers to rank, dominion, and lordship. 🔥 Power Over Demons & Darkness “In My name they will cast out demons…” — Mark 16:17 Demons respond not to syllables, but to who He is. 5️⃣ So does saying “Jesus” still matter? YES—because God honors faith, not pronunciation. - English says Jesus - Spanish says Jesús - Hebrew says Yeshua - Arabic says Isa 👉 Same Lord. Same authority. Same power. God is not confused by language. He responds to faith in His Son. 6️⃣ The REAL significance (this is the heart ❤️) The enemy loves arguments about letters, dates, and linguistics because they distract from the truth: 💥 The power is not in the letter J— The power is in the RISEN CHRIST. The authority comes from: - His death - His resurrection - His victory - His Lordship 7️⃣ Why the Name still shakes hell today Because the name Jesus represents: - 🩸 The blood of the Lamb - ✝️ The finished work of the cross - 👑 The King of Kings - ⚔️ The One who defeated Satan “At the name of Jesus every knee should bow…” — Philippians 2:10

BODY, SOUL & SPIRIT
We Are Body, Soul, and Spirit — According to the Bible 📖 The Bible does not describe humans as only physical beings. Scripture reveals a three-part design created by God Himself: body, soul, and spirit—each distinct, each with purpose. 📖 The Foundational Proof “Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:23 🔑 Notice the order and clarity: spirit → soul → body. Scripture separates them, proving they are not the same thing. 1️⃣ The Body — The Physical World “For dust you are, and to dust you shall return.” — Genesis 3:19 - Your body connects you to the natural world - It has senses, strength, and limitations - It is temporary, not eternal “Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit?” — 1 Corinthians 6:19 2️⃣ The Soul — Mind, Will, and Emotions “For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?” — Mark 8:36 Your soul includes: - 🧠 Mind (thoughts, reasoning) - ❤️ Emotions (feelings, desires) - ✋ Will (choices, decisions) “My soul magnifies the Lord…” — Luke 1:46 🔎 The soul is self-aware and must be renewed: “Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” — Romans 12:2 3️⃣ The Spirit — God-Conscious & Eternal “God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” — John 4:24 Your spirit: - Is how you connect with God - Was dead in sin, made alive in Christ - Is reborn, not repaired “That which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” — John 3:6 “The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God.” — Romans 8:16
BODY, SOUL & SPIRIT
“If anyone suffers as a Christian”
1 Peter 4:16 “Yet if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in that name” Peter gives three clear commands and reveals a divine purpose behind such suffering. 1️⃣ “If anyone suffers as a Christian” Peter is very specific: This is not suffering because of sin, foolishness, or wrongdoing (see 1 Peter 4:15). It is suffering because you belong to Christ. Biblical Examples • Jesus Christ – Rejected, beaten, crucified for who He was (see Isaiah 53:3) • Stephen – Killed for preaching Jesus (Acts 7:54–60) • Apostle Paul – Imprisoned, beaten, mocked (2 Corinthians 11:23–27) • Apostle Peter – Later crucified for Christ (John 21:18–19) 📌 Truth: If you follow Christ faithfully, opposition is inevitable “Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.” — 2 Timothy 3:12 ⸻ 2️⃣ “Let him not be ashamed” The world uses shame to silence believers. God commands boldness without embarrassment. Biblical Examples • The Apostles – Rejoiced after being beaten “They left the council rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer dishonor for the name.” — Acts 5:41 • Daniel – Public prayer despite death threat (Daniel 6) • Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego – Refused to bow, even facing fire (Daniel 3) 📌 Truth: Shame is a weapon of the enemy; confidence honors God “Whoever acknowledges Me before men, I will acknowledge before My Father.” — Matthew 10:32 ⸻ 3️⃣ “But let him glorify God in that name” Suffering does not dishonor God — how you endure it can glorify Him. Biblical Examples • Job – Worshiped God in loss (Job 1:20–22) • Paul & Silas – Sang praises in prison (Acts 16:25) • Jesus on the Cross – Obedience glorified the Father — John 17:1 📌 Truth: God is glorified when faith stands firm under pressure. ⸻ 🎯 Is There a Purpose in This Suffering? Yes — Scripture gives multiple divine purposes: ⸻ 🔥 1. Refinement & Purification “Though now for a little while… you have been grieved by various trials, so that the tested genuineness of your faith… may result in praise.”

👑 THE FIVE CROWNS PROMISED BY CHRIST
“Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown.” — Revelation 3:11 ⸻ 👑 1. THE INCORRUPTIBLE CROWN (Crown of Discipline & Spiritual Victory) 📖 1 Corinthians 9:25 Who receives it: Believers who live disciplined, self-controlled lives for Christ. How it is received: • Running the Christian race with purpose • Denying the flesh • Living for eternal reward, not temporary gain 📝 Reward for spiritual endurance and obedience. ⸻ 👑 2. THE CROWN OF REJOICING (The Soul-Winner’s Crown) 📖 1 Thessalonians 2:19 Who receives it: Those who lead others to Jesus Christ. How it is received: • Sharing the Gospel • Making disciples • Investing in souls 📝 Souls won for Christ become your joy and crown. ⸻ 👑 3. THE CROWN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS (For Those Who Love His Appearing) 📖 2 Timothy 4:8 Who receives it: Believers who eagerly await and love Christ’s return. How it is received: • Living holy • Watching for His coming • Loving eternity more than the world 📝 A reward for longing hearts and righteous living. ⸻ 👑 4. THE CROWN OF LIFE (The Overcomer’s / Martyr’s Crown) 📖 James 1:12 📖 Revelation 2:10 Who receives it: Those who remain faithful through trials, persecution, and suffering. How it is received: • Enduring hardship • Remaining faithful even unto death • Loving Christ despite suffering 📝 Faithfulness under fire is eternally rewarded. ⸻ 👑 5. THE CROWN OF GLORY (The Shepherd’s Crown) 📖 1 Peter 5:4 Who receives it: Faithful spiritual leaders and shepherds. How it is received: • Serving God’s people willingly • Leading with humility • Shepherding with love, not for gain 📝 An unfading crown for faithful leadership. ⸻ ✨ ETERNAL PERSPECTIVE 📖 Revelation 4:10 — The saints cast their crowns at Jesus’ feet. 👑 We don’t earn crowns for status. 👑 We receive crowns to return them in worship

👑 THE FIVE CROWNS PROMISED BY CHRIST
Is a Mormon a Christian?
Jesus Himself defines it: “You must be born again.” — John 3:3 “That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” — John 3:6 In the Bible, being born again means: - You are spiritually made new by God - This happens by grace through faith in Jesus Christ - Not by works, rituals, or church membership - You are justified (declared righteous) the moment you trust in Christ Key scriptures: - Ephesians 2:8–9 — Saved by grace through faith, not of works - 2 Corinthians 5:17 — If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation - Romans 10:9–10 — Believe and confess Jesus as Lord and you are saved - John 1:12–13 — Born of God, not of human effort 👉 A born-again Christian trusts Christ alone for salvation, and good works follow because you’re saved, not to get saved. 2. What does the LDS (Mormon) Church teach about salvation? The LDS Church uses the Bible and additional scriptures: - Book of Mormon - Doctrine and Covenants - Pearl of Great Price In LDS doctrine: - Salvation is a process, not a finished work - It includes: Faith in Jesus Repentance Baptism (by LDS authority) Receiving the Holy Ghost Obedience to commandments Temple ordinances Enduring to the end - A famous LDS statement: “We know that it is by grace that we are saved, after all we can do.” — 2 Nephi 25:23 (Book of Mormon) 👉 So in Mormon theology, grace + your obedience + church ordinances are necessary to reach the highest level of salvation (exaltation). 3. The biggest differences (side by side) 🔥 A. Who is Jesus? Born-again Christianity (Bible): - Jesus is eternal God - Not created - One with the Father - Fully God, fully man John 1:1 — “The Word was God” John 8:58 — “Before Abraham was, I AM” Colossians 2:9 — “In Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily” LDS teaching: - Jesus is a created being - Spirit brother of Lucifer - Not eternally God in the same sense - God the Father was once a man (per LDS doctrine)
