Travel Nursing 101 - New SKOOL Community! 🏥
Hey everyone! I created a new community for nurses to connect! It's a free community! I'm writing two books: one book about nurse burnout and the other about travel nursing - both for KDP! I started a YouTube channel and am funneling the content from there to SKOOL! Thank you @Krista Brea for all your KDP Publishing knowledge and marketing ideas! I wouldn't have done this without this KPD community and the wonderful teaching and encouragement you all provide! 📚💻🫶🏻 https://www.skool.com/travelnursing101/about

🚨 We are officially in Q4.
So I have a question for you… 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗶𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝗶𝘁? At the beginning of 2026, a lot of you set a goal to publish a book this year. Well… we are officially entering the final quarter of the year, and now it’s my job to start holding you accountable. 👀 I’m going to be checking in to see who actually followed through and published their book this year — and who still has some work to do. But here’s the important part: 𝗜𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗻’𝘁 𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝘆𝗲𝘁, 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲. You still have three full months left. Three months is enough time to: Finish that manuscript you keep putting off Get your book edited and formatted Finalize your cover Upload it to KDP Hit 𝗣𝗨𝗕𝗟𝗜𝗦𝗛 You do not need another January 1st to start over. You need to decide that 𝗤𝟰 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗱. So tell me below: 📚 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲? Put it in the comments. Make it public. Let us hold you accountable. @𝗧𝗮𝗿𝗮 𝗔𝗱𝗹𝗲𝗿 - you set a goal to get a book done by Jan will we be seeing it happen? @Linda Maples - I know you had another book idea you wanted to tackle did you get that project across the finish line? @Liisa Reimann - I'm putting you in the hot seat because at the end of 2025 you wanted to publish an authority building book. @Diana Gamble - Let's not forget about your goal to get a book published in 2026! @Lynsey Wall - I know you were thinking about publishing an updated journal. How's that project progressing? @Nicole Lesley - I know you've been actively working on your book project so I'm eager to hear your updates!

wow that's amazing!
Free Ebook Festival Today and Tomorrow
So here you have it. My two books I thought I could create in one day took a bit longer. And I still see areas for improvement. But here's the thing... AI cut my book production from two years (illustrating it myself) to a few weeks. It's getting to the point where AI can create images quickly, consistently, and with ease. One of the books listed was created in 2023 with Leonard AI and so there may not be as much consistency. And here's the real rub... I have not one book done, but FOUR BOOKS done. I couldn't even fathom this in the last five years. I think we're going to see a huge shift in book and film production like never before. Many have tools to do just this. So look out for more creativity not less. My books are free today and tomorrow. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0HKYFV3G9 (Never Snitch on a Witch) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0HL781GPM (The Great Witch Switch)

⭐ Why Reviews Matter ❤️
Nine times out of ten, before we make a buying decision, we look at the reviews. And usually, the more money we’re about to spend, the more reviews we read. If we’re comparing two products, services, books, or communities and one has plenty of positive reviews while the other has almost none, it naturally makes us wonder whether people are actually buying it, using it, or getting value from it. That’s why I truly value every review that gets left for this community. @Cristal Vancarson thank you so much for taking the time to write such a thoughtful review. ❤️ Every review one of you leaves gives someone on the outside another reason to feel confident about joining. It helps answer questions like: - Is this community actually helpful? - Are people getting value from it? - Is it worth paying to join? And the exact same thing applies to your books. If you’ve published a book and you’re wondering why sales are slow, but your book has very few reviews, that may be part of the problem. Readers are often comparing your book to several others before they buy, and reviews provide that extra layer of trust and social proof. That’s why reviews should be something we intentionally prioritize, not something we just hope happens. A few simple things you can do are: - Ask readers to leave an honest review. - Include a review request in the back of your book. - Follow up with ARC readers after launch. - Remind your audience that reviews genuinely help authors. You’re never telling someone what to say. You’re simply reminding them that their feedback matters. As authors, publishers, and business owners, reviews are one of those small things that can make a big difference over time. So when you get a great one, celebrate it. And when someone supports your work by leaving one, appreciate it. And if you’ve gotten a review lately that made your day, share it below. 👇

100% agree with this! We often forget that people aren't just buying a product or book—they're looking for confidence in their decision.
Micro-niche nonfiction: How narrow is too narrow?
When I wrote Fueling the Night Shift, I intentionally hyper-targeted only nurses working 12-hour night shifts. The upside: The audience feels instantly seen, reviews are heartfelt, and the book solves a very specific problem. The downside: The total pool of potential readers is small. It’s a tradeoff between strong resonance vs total market size. Curious what others think: Where do you draw the line? How do you decide when a niche becomes too tiny to sustain consistent KDP sales? This is the micro-niche book I built to test this idea: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0HC52ZHYT
