@Michelle Heighway - Thank you for letting me in! I moved back to the 120 acre family farm in Oklahoma a couple years back (helping my octogenarian parents when they let me!) and have just loved returning to my roots. One of the things I wish I could do is stop trying so hard to take a perfect (okay maybe I should say a decent instead of perfect) photograph and just learn to enjoy taking the photo. I am a master flower show judge and I can honestly say that I dislike almost every photo I take at shows whether the design or horticulture is mine or just the show in general. And who doesn't want to be able to take photos of their garden? Of course ours is half an acre and we have everything from greens to berries and a lot of annual flowers too. I get creative ideas for my designs by being out on this farm, seeing the angles or direction for which native plants and trees grow - the posse of turkeys as they amble across the pasture, or even the lines of a deer as it jumps and runs. Just being in the barn gives me ideas when I am puttering around and hunting for a lost tool or hunting for the barn cats. And I have always wanted to get a great photo of a sunset out here! I guess I am just looking for somewhere I can learn, and capture where I am right now and like what I captured - then when the time comes, I want to be able to share these memories and know the pictures I share - are as close to what I saw at the time.

Still working on that age old question, “What do you want to be when you grow up?”.
