How can I care for myself today? What do i need?
These may be the most valuable questions you can ask yourself when you awaken in the morning. It is something we do not prioritize as much as I think one should. Instead, we start to think about our emails, work, family and friends. We start to prepare ourselves to go to work for someone in order to get a paycheck to pay the bills. But the inherent question of what do I need seems to be an afterthought. This is easily a habit that develops after time because we fail to recognize what our needs actually are. I am here to simply pose the question. What do you nee today? Feel free to share your answers below.

The more in tuned, I try to be to my inner self in the mornings when I wake up, the much better my day seems to go. I am reminding myself more and more in the mornings, that I am a “human BEing” and not a “human DOing.” My healing journey must include healing my inner child along with gaining physical vitality. Asking myself what do I need today and how can I care for myself? Today is an extremely important question for me in the mornings I also like to answer that question in a broad way by the affirmation of, “I have all I need and how much better can it get than this?”

My biggest need when I wake in the morning, not only for my fiscal health, but for my brain health, is hydration. For me, I think hydration is the number one goal that helps me not only physically, but helps me to remain connected to my personal goals and to distress my life as I go through throughout my day. Instead of trying to immediately meet needs of my mom or myself, or my food needs, I think it is important for me to be sure that I start out very well hydrated and keep that as my number one goal throughout the day.
