Photo Cleanup Tool (using ChatGPT)
Hi I've been using AI a lot in my business. One of my biggest bug bears with taking photos on my phone is that the orientation sometimes is skewed or the wrong rotation. Trying to correct this through the phone or on the computer, MacOS preview or on Windows can be a bit of a faff and sometimes doesn't save properly and you end up doing it when listing. The other issue I have is EXIF data - if you're re-listing items or sell similar on items that have no traction, the platforms do track the metadata in the back ground i.e. photo location, titles and dates of images - so it is likely something that could go against you, suppressing your listing fro views and the new listing bump. It is definitely something Vinted monitor to see if you are relisting items and has led to bans. They don't like you relisting! Removing EXIF resolves this as the files are not traceable*. It is perfectly safe to remove the data and is not actively monitored as it's privacy related. After all - it is also something you can switch off in your phone's settings if you value the privacy. I personally keep it on though for family photos and memories as it groups them - so I like to manually remove it manually on certain photos, hence the tool. The Photo-Cleanroom.html is the tool - it's completely local to your computer it doesn't need an internet connection and doesn't upload any files - so there's no sharing or processing - it works with the files on your Desktop or Folders at source and local to your computer only. This has been a game changer for me. Hope you find some value in it. 🙂 I've done a video demonstrating it. You don't need a premium ChatGPT licence or the free versions. It's a local file through your browser. Any questions - happy to answer *there are other ways Vinted track re-listings, item descriptions and titles - but this solves the issue of the photos.
