Do you feel blocked creatively, or overwhelmed creatively?
Some writers struggle because nothing is coming. Others struggle because too much is coming. Both can feel paralyzing in different ways — one feels empty, the other feels chaotic. This question isn’t about productivity, it’s about what kind of weight creativity is putting on you right now. If you want a slightly more poetic version Some of us face silence. Some of us face noise. Both can stop the pen. Are you blocked by emptiness, or overwhelmed by abundance?

Marketing (I’m awfully shy 🙃) and editing. By the time I get to editing, I don’t always recall the nuances I was hoping to allude to. Human editors need to be educated (on occasion). AI just chooses one grammatical rule over another. I make the change, resubmit to the AI editor in a renamed file and it changes it back to what I originally wrote. <sigh>
Nothing Good Is Ever Easy My Dear Friends
The inspiration to write a book that will touch other lives and hearts is an amazing gift. Even so, it takes countless hours of dedication and discipline. Indie authors like you and I don't often gain great monetary wealth from our passion, and we must wear many hats along the way to turn out an excellent book. The blessings of being able to hone our skills as writers go far beyond mere monetary gain, however, as we are given the great opportunity to reach the world with something that is uniquely ours to give, and to see others benefit from this gift. I am new on here, just joined today, but I am glad to be a part of this community. Just know that you are not alone in your struggles to turn out excellent quality work. I share in your passion... and in your pain. Hoping to make a few good friends on here, so hit me up and let's chat... Your friend, Gerard.

PTSD stories
I am a retired and disabled Veteran. Lately I have written a few stories that focuses on soldiers dealing with PTSD. My question is how do I promote them without missing my target audience? To be clear they are regular stories that happen to have Vets doing Vet things.

I’m probably missing something because I can’t figure out who your target audience is. I’m interested in learning about PTSD veterans because my (limited) interactions with them have left me baffled.

Edited for over 20 years and wrote a weekly column for almost as long. Book #1 published in ‘06. Time for the others to be born.
