Update 8/13 - 12-Month Curriculum in "Classroom" Section
I have already fallen off the wagon due to lack of structure. To combat this and get myself more of a roadmap to go from where I currently. I put together a 12-month roadmap for myself if anyone wants to follow along. This should cover basics of script, learning Python and then Rust, and finally focusing on one of the bleeding edge off chain solutions. Expectation for myself is 4 hours a day. 2 hours of theory, and 2 hours of coding.

Really have no direction specifically on where I want to focus 100% my learning/skills towards. Went back over Greg Walker "Learn Me a Bitcoin" it's so raw down to earth explanation and he throws out some "Ruby" he went with to communicate with the nodes. (that was as far as I got). Ruby seemed straight-forward, syntax, definition, ect. as well most languages.....just really do I want to go down that path? Do I NEED to go down that learning direction? Do I need to learn the programming language? or do I need to know the working processes most, functionality? I'm moving more to a functional expert atm on how the entire ecosystem works and what improvements can/has been applied. I think that fits my desires atm :) I just want to know/comprehend the ecosystem as a whole, as it seems to be changing/evolving (for the better) making it difficult to keep up with
Quick mid week update
Been deep diving into The Bitcoin Dev Project. Which I believe is a resource provided mostly by block. It's been fantastic so far. Highly recommend. https://bitcoindevs.xyz/bitcoin-core

In Chapter 2 Level1 Mastering Bitcoin - Slow reader :/ Had to read the Preface as well, didn't want to miss anything.
Goal for this week
Understand how the network functions at a high level. We all understand PoW and the mempool at a high level. I want to have a good understanding of the following basic concepts to build on in the future: - how script works conceptually - what are UTXOs at the protocol level - How are they unlocked and locked using cryptography - public-private keys - How wallet addresses are derived - Difference between the kinds of wallets - What is P2x (P2SH, P2TR, etc) - Where off-chain protocols fit into the onchain transaction and how they are secure - What is client side validation - Risks of p2p networks vs global state This are a few that come to mind. I'm sure i'll find more as I dig into details. I will link anything I find useful in Friday's update. Let me know if you want me to add them here as well.

Good stuff. Went through this one today, pretty interesting and useful. Touched on some public-private keys, mining, and some overall good information. Strong fundamentals.
Essential Guides and Learning Materials
I've started to gather a list of the best learning materials and websites I find. You can access them in the "Classroom" section here https://www.skool.com/scripters-block-1276/classroom/180da8bd?md=455a5b1bff694ccaaea7b298b9786bf9

I saw your post regarding coding language, and the two seemed like Python and Rust. Little familiar with Python (very very little), Rust sounds interesting as well. Do you have a preference yet on which one to focus on for this group, or have you had a chance to think about it yet?

Cool, good to know...from the small bit of research Rust was preferred over Python for Bitcoin Development. Unless your doing data science stuff, but always up to learning a new language
