Okay this is something I've noticed for a while and I think I finally get why it happens. The morning after a really hard session, brutal conditioning, hard rounds, whatever it was, I'm almost always green the next day. And for the longest time I'd see that green and go "cool, I'm recovered, let's go again." But I don't think that's actually what's happening. When you smash yourself with a hard session, your body kind of overcorrects overnight. It slams the brakes and goes into full recovery mode to pull you back to normal. And that shows up as high HRV... which is what gives you that green score. So a lot of the time, green isn't saying "you're fresh and ready to rip again." It's saying "hey, I just went into damage control from the beating you gave me yesterday." Not the same thing. And if you keep piling hard days on top of those greens, it catches up to you. I felt it this week honestly, green, green, and then a couple days later the fatigue finally showed up like "remember me?" So yeah. The number by itself can fool you. It's green PLUS what you actually did yesterday that tells you the truth. Anyone else get that weird green the day after a hard one? Or is it just me 😂 👇
