But to us Catholics, Protestants, Orthodox, this is a matter of our connection with God and the heart, but we also believe it's a matter of history. To us, the ‘logic' of God is love, and the most loving thing God could do is not just stay in heaven and give us 'ideas' or 'dreams,' but to actually become one of us, suffer with us, and carry the weight we couldn't carry ourselves. We don't see that as God being unable to save us, but as God choosing to save us with our cooperation. (You dont have to read this but if you want to it’s your choice.) “God is just a character jumping in because we went "off script."” God didn’t ‘jump back in’ as a backup plan, he ‘jumped back in’ because we were lost and needed saving and thats why he died on the cross(if you’re still confused on why did Jesus die for us, I recommend you watch “Did Jesus Have To Die On The Cross” by Shameless Popery) “ how can God form himself into a human and still be everywhere and everything at the same time?” Now this is where the Two natures come back in. we believe God is infinite, He doesn't have to 'shrink' to become man, He just takes our humanity upon Himself. It’s definitely a mystery, but as the sun stays in the sky while its light touches the earth, we believe God can be everywhere while being fully present in Jesus.(If you’re also confused about this you can watch ChristianStory made which is “We tried to make the best video in the internet explaining the Trinity”, it doesn’t say alot on you’re question but it’ll explain alot who God is) “ That's the merging of two religions/mythologies, which are Judaism and Greek mythology.” This is a common historical claim, but there’s a massive, huge difference. In Greek Mythology, The Greek gods (like Zeus) turned into animals or humans to play tricks, satisfy their own desires, or have fun. They stayed selfish. While in the Gospel (which has historical evidence of being true) Jesus didn't come to play; He came to suffer and die out of pure, selfless love. Judaism always promised a Messiah, We believe Jesus is that Jewish promise fulfilled (but they still didn’t believe in Christ and killed the only one who can save us “For They Do Not Know What They Do”) not a Greek myth added on.
