mixing tips much needed
any mixing tips would be greatly appreciated as this is a completely new genre for me!

Here are my best mixing feedback tips: 1. I think the drums could be louder, pretty much all the elements. 2. I think the low frequencies of the bass could be brought down a little bit and the highs of the bass could be brought up a little bit to make it more crispy. 3. I think the vocals could use some processing it feels a little bit raw (compression, saturation, reverb, delay, etc.) 4. I really like the tones of the guitars, although the one playing the melody over the top of the chorus could use a little bit of processing to make it sound more dynamic. Could also benefit from some eq so it really sits on top of the chords. 5. the oooohs could be a bit louder and a bit wider in the mix. Could also use some reverb as well. 6. Maybe the song could use some different percussive elements or some piano to fill out the sound? Hope this helps my man!
Sorry (OPNMND Remix)
Yo guys! Been a little bit since I've been on here but wanted to share the most recent remix i've been working on. Open to any feedback (especially from @Brendan Carroll). Thanks!
New Remix feedback
yo yo! I got a new remix I've been working on (since last night haha) and I think it has potential. I honestly don't even know what happening half the time because there is a lot going on but whenever I try to take stuff away, it just sounds too empty - would love tips on this (unless it's just me hearing that). Don't really know what else to say but any feedback on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone!

Dude the drop is sweet! Really cool sound design there. Think the drop could be mixed a little bit better, there seems to be some elements clashing (eq lows out of things that don't need them, etc.). Agreed with the points above, think everything before the drop could benefit from more layers, compression, saturation, etc. to really help bring the song to life. Hope this helps man!
Jealous Remix
Hey guys. I started this little piano house remix with a friend of mine but would love any feedback. We are working on some additional stuff but would love to hear any creative feedback. https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/uo96f33yfgimnx4pg0cqy/Jealous-Jake-Dands-Just-Ty-Remix-playable-v1.wav?rlkey=d18c0olovr69o9q4o5zv6jo85&st=m03oz1k1&dl=0

writing as im listening: 1. Like the chord progression 2. Vocals are a little to far back in the mix i think - could use some compression to bring forward 3. Think during the buildup or at times during the song, you can automate the piano using different filters or effects to make it more dynamic. 4. Vocal chops during drop are cool but feel a little abrupt, could sound smoother. 5. Song feels a bit too repetitive, think it could benefit from more percussive elements and melodic elements. 6. overall i think the mix feels pretty good! Like the fake out in the second drop. Cool stuff tho man!

yo! writing as im listening: 1. Not sure that the bassline matches the vocals melodically 2. Think you could benefit from a bass sound that sustains all the way through rather than a one shot. 3. The chord progression that the bassline follows also doesn't match the vocals melodically. 4. Think the vocals could use some eq as the frequencies of the vocals are taking up a bit too much of the spectrum. 5. The drop was cool but really unexpected, especially since that's the part of the song that people love to shout out. 6. I think the mix of the song is sounding pretty good otherwise, but once you make those melodic changes I think the song will really level up. Hope this helps brotha!
