Work-life-personal balance
It’s been a while since I’ve interacted with the group. Have been working the new job & trying to balance everything after work. I’ve set some boundaries at work as to when I get off in order to make time for the gym & the at home life. It’s been an easy week so far & way less stressful... however, at work, there are numerous occasions where plans & designs change & I find myself in a rut when these situations occur. For instance, a plan changes & instantly stresses me out & causing me to lose focus. I was everywhere at once trying to prioritize matters. Any advice on how to manage sudden changes & what mindset to have when plans change? The boundaries I set at work, are enabling me to get into the gym more often, but I have a lack of motivation to even go to the gym after work. How can I fix this? Of course after a long day outside, dealing with stress & multiple people (me being an introvert) makes me want to be a lazy P.O.S. Any advice or examples would be much appreciated. Thanks for reading my rant!
Please answer these questions and respond below.
1. What specific steps have you taken today to move closer to your dreams, and how can you ensure you consistently take action in the future? 2. When faced with setbacks or challenges, do you tend to make excuses or find solutions, and how can you shift your mindset to take full responsibility for overcoming obstacles? 3. How do your daily habits align with the person you need to become to achieve your dreams, and what changes can you make to better support your long-term goals?

1. I’ve taken your advice & used it during a meeting. For example, showing confidence & sitting quietly listening & when speaking, making it short, thorough & to the point. I asked for people’s opinions & can tell the respect level has definitely increased. 2. Lately I’ve been slacking on going to the gym. No excuse for that. I’ve been doing the practices given & trying to apply those to work, trying to find a good routine to settle into with a new job, mindset building & the gym. 3. Number 3 has been answered by my response in #1 & 2. Building confidence while speaking & asserting confidence (voice & body) while talking on work matters. I’ve seen strides in my work habits by this, it’s making me become more accountable for myself & becoming a leader again.
Hello all
Hello everyone, I just recently joined this group & I am stoked to be apart of a community with likeminded individuals. I joined because I’m struggling with self confidence & find myself fumbling in conversations. I also got a new job & I am currently learning all of the ins & outs of the company, but find myself struggling / anxious about all of it. Happy to speak about it more on the call! Thanks!!
