Critique on my work pls
Hey I’m Friedrich and I just turned 17 yo. Rn I’m in 12th grade in Highschool and after my graduation in 1,5 years I want to apply in Pforzheim to study Transportation Design. Currently I’m focusing on improving my sketching skills in all fields but I also did my first projects in blender (the Lamborghini concept). I attached some of my current work so everyone pleassse feel free to criticize or give feedback or tips!!! Greetings from Germany! Friedrich

Hi Friedrich, First of all, a warm welcome to the community! I completely agree with Max—you’ve already built a solid foundation! You’re experimenting with different styles and are already working with Blender in 3D, which is improving your understanding of proportion, shapes, and geometry. And that helps you with building up your sketching skills! Keep up the great work!
Meeting and AI-workflow in the industry
Thanks, Max, for the insights into your Blender workflow! So far, I’ve only worked with boolean operations, which made the file extremely slow once they were applied multiple times. Thanks to the plug-in, performance remains strong even with many boolean operations. And speed is the biggest advantage of working with Blender. Applying AI to design or visualization is difficult when you’re working with established companies. You’re dealing with sensitive data that you can’t just feed into an AI model. But I use AI to develop complex scripts that I combine with Variant sets in VRED for instance. This opens up entirely new possibilities, and you can visualize things in VRED that would be very difficult to achieve with the program’s built-in functions alone—or would require an enormous amount of time and effort. Are you dealing with similar issues? How do you use AI to still boost your workflow, without touching sensitive data? Have a nice Weekend together!

@Max Troicher Absolutely right! I'd say that in most cases, time determines the quality and types of tools. About the scripting… I don't have VRED on my personal computer, so we'll have to figure out how we can take a look at it… any ideas? Yeah, I'm with you on that!
Crazy time saver
I was struggling with laggy Blender that gave me the (Non Responive) screen of death multiple times an hour, extremely frustrating. I couldn't figure out the reason for 2 whole days. I gave the file to ChatGPT and it found the issue within 7 minutes (5€ token cost) - Essentialy a heavy modifier was hidden and switched to invisible deep down in my node tree. I appearently accidentaly copied the modifier to this object. Would've never found it. GPT-6 Astra's response below:

This is a great example of how AI can be used to speed up workflows while overcoming fewer obstacles! 😅 I think a lot of people overlook this—most people use AI to create something new, but it’s incredibly powerful to let AI help us solve problems that would take us humans much longer to tackle!
Welcome to the foundation! 🏗️
The space is completely empty right now—so just grab a seat, make yourself comfortable, and let's see what happens as things grow! So glad you are here!
