1-2 times a week I reckon is best for normal email newsletters. If you're running a campaign to sell something or if you're launching a new business, I would highly recommend a short campaign with multiple emails in a week.

Hola everyone!
Hi all, my name is Gus Vargas, born and raised in Mexico and living now in the bay area in California, I'm an IT Program Manager at worldwide electronic manufacturing company. Also started a non profit soccer club for recreational leagues in my current town, providing a soccer program for kids from 4 to 18 years old. Recently got my USSF D soccer coach license and working on getting my C license. I'm a football boot collector as well, I was lucky to get some pairs from Noah last year. Trying to share all that in my social media and take advantage of that to promote my club and boot collection.
