Activity is not the same as momentum.
After reading a lot of posts from newer agents lately, I keep seeing the same pattern. Most of them are not lazy. Theyโ€™re making calls. Going to trainings. Posting content. Sitting open houses. Following up. Trying to stay consistent. And still, a few months in, nothing really feels like itโ€™s moving. Thatโ€™s a tough place to be, because when youโ€™re doing nothing, the problem is obvious. But when youโ€™re doing โ€œeverything rightโ€ and still not getting traction, you start questioning yourself. Maybe Iโ€™m not cut out for this. Maybe I need better scripts. Maybe I picked the wrong brokerage. Maybe I just need more leads. But sometimes the issue is not effort. Itโ€™s that youโ€™re measuring activity instead of movement. A call is not movement unless it creates a real conversation. A lead is not movement unless it moves closer to trust. A brokerage is not movement unless it helps you operate better. Training is not movement unless it changes what you actually do this week. Content is not movement unless it gives someone a reason to see you differently. Thatโ€™s where a lot of new agents get stuck. They confuse being busy with building. The better question is not: โ€œWhat else should I do?โ€ Itโ€™s: โ€œWhat am I doing right now that can actually turn into a transaction?โ€ That one question changes how you look at your week. Who did I speak to? What relationship moved forward? What buyer or seller situation did I uncover? What follow-up became more real? What action created future leverage instead of just filling time? Activity makes you feel like youโ€™re trying. Momentum shows you something is starting to build. So before you blame yourself, ask: Am I actually creating movementโ€ฆ or am I just staying busy enough to feel like Iโ€™m still in the game?

I failed my first entry into real estate
Hey everyone, Iโ€™m Nitzan. Iโ€™ve been in real estate for 6 years already, and the part Iโ€™ve always found most interesting is the beginning. That first stage where someone is new, motivated, trying to do the right thingsโ€ฆ but somehow still feels like theyโ€™re starting from zero every week. Iโ€™ve been there myself. My first entry into real estate didnโ€™t work. The second one taught me to look less at โ€œwhat activity should I do?โ€ and more at โ€œwhat position am I entering from?โ€ That one shift changed how I see the industry. Looking forward to connecting with people here and seeing what everyone is working on.

Hey everyone, Iโ€™m Nitzan. Iโ€™ve been in real estate for 6 years now, and the part I care most about is the beginning โ€” that messy stage where people are trying to figure out how to enter the industry without getting buried by cold calls, door knocking, or just waiting around for something to happen. My first attempt in real estate didnโ€™t work. The second time was completely different, mostly because I entered from a different position instead of trying to survive the โ€œstandard beginner path.โ€ Excited to connect with people here and learn what stage everyone is at. ๐Ÿฅ‚
Hey everyone ๐Ÿ‘‹
Just got accepted into the community and excited to be here Iโ€™ve been spending some time learning about real estate, and one thing Iโ€™ve realized is, thereโ€™s a lot of information out there, but not always clarity on what actually works in real life Right now, Iโ€™m focused on ๐Ÿ‘‰ Understanding the fundamentals ๐Ÿ‘‰ Taking action, not just learning ๐Ÿ‘‰ And figuring out what strategies are actually producing results for people Iโ€™m here to learn and actually apply what I learn For those already doing deals ๐Ÿ‘‡Whatโ€™s one thing you wish you knew when you were just starting out? Looking forward to connecting with you all, it's really nice to meet you all.

@Riyah M โ€œwhere you start from shapes everythingโ€ฆโ€ Youโ€™re already ahead just by noticing that. Most people donโ€™t, they just start doing things and hope something clicks. The โ€œright placeโ€ isnโ€™t a brokerage, a script, or even a strategy. Itโ€™s having a clear answer to one thing: What situation am I stepping into on day one? Not in theory, in reality. - Who are you talking to? - What are they dealing with right now? - And why would they even take a conversation with you? Most people skip that partโ€ฆ so they end up doing a lot of activity without anything actually connecting. If you had to answer that today... even roughly, what situation do you feel closest to stepping into right now?

@Riyah M I didnโ€™t get clarity from thinking about it first. I got it from stepping into a situation where I wasnโ€™t starting from zero. From day one, I had access to real inventory inside an office, which meant I could actually be in conversations that mattered, not just โ€œtrying to network.โ€ Thatโ€™s what made things click. What you described about sellers who donโ€™t have clear options, thatโ€™s real. But the key is not just understanding themโ€ฆ itโ€™s being in a position where you can actually do something about it. How close do you feel to being in that kind of position right now?
