Happy 250! SOTD: Polo Deep Blue Parfum
Happy 250 y'all! I'm sticking to American houses only today, and Polo is probably my favorite. Polo Deep Blue Parfum is also my favorite from the house. Unfortunately discontinued, but you can still find it on discounters at the moment. This is a blue marine-aquatic ambroxan fragrance. It opens with a bright citrus and green mango. The mango is not sweet at all; it's tart, sharp, and slightly bitter. It works very well with the citrus. Then towards the mid, you start getting this green/herbaceous vibe coming through mainly from the cypress and clary sage. Nothing too green, maybe 20% green at best. Works well with the other notes to give it a nice fresh spicy and aromatic kick. It stays pretty linear from here on out, I maybe smell a little bit of musk towards the end, but that's about it. The heavy ambroxan and marine notes are present from beginning to end. And gentlemen, it performs VERY well. I get an easy 8 hours with this scent and very loud projection for 3-4 hours. Something about the synthetic nature gives it some pretty serious performance. Cons: Synthetic, Linear, Discontinued Pros: Fresh, Versatile, Good performance, Reasonably priced I love blue fragrances, and I really enjoy this one a lot. It might not be for everyone, but it's a 9/10 for me. Hope y'all have a great 4th of July!

SOTD - Issey Miyake Le Sel d'Issey
Came home from PT, showered, and put this on. Picked up this bottle a few weeks ago from @Nick Clemente after blowing through a decant in record time. This is now in my top tier of warm weather frags. I'm on Long Island so I hit up many places right by the ocean and man, does this fit right in. The minerality, the salt and the seaweed just line up perfectly. The cedar, oakmoss, ginger and vetiver all add nicely to it to balance out the sea and the land. (No, I didn't come up with the sea and the land thing, but it fits - lol). Some say it's too linear but it doesn't bother me in the least. For an edt the performance is really good on me, I was very surprised. And lest I forget, the bottle is a stunner. Thanks again for this one, Nick!

Got this one in not too long ago and I've been loving it. The way the sea salt and seaweed notes come through give it an intense and unique marine freshness that I really enjoy. Great choice!

Love Eau Givree, in my opinion it's the best TDH flanker. Performs well for me too, which is really nice to have, considering how fresh of a scent profile it is.
