Tip Tuesday Brings You A Simple Concept
A simple concept that many miss. Bigger is better! Don't snap a photo of a small piece of jewelry and leave a bunch of margin/clutter around it. Center it and expand. This is a quick video showing you my basic photography preferences and how you can use a little background magic to clean the whole thing up... Furthermore, there is a batch option on this app and you can edit dozens of photos in one session. I can photograph 50 items in 15 mins, do a batch upload/edit in 15 mins, and have them all listed in another 60 minutes if the music is vibin and the dog doesn't need to go out. Prelisting is no longer miserable and you can be really happy with your photo quality with very little practice! Let me know if any questions. ♥️👏🏻 Thanks, Brad/Threefortytwo

Private Whatnot Jewelry Show SUNDAY NIGHT
Oh, it's ON!! This month's undiscoverable wholesale jewelry show (unless you have a link) for Premium Skool members is Sunday night. 9/27, 8PM Est. The link will be emailed to you tomorrow, Saturday. (From [email protected], check spam if you don't see it.) You asked for more notice and I listened!! Rather than 24hr advance notice, here's 48. 🤣🤣💀 Listen, I'm sorry. But the jewels are epic, the shipping is free, the coupons are plenty, and the vibe is the BEST!!!! I love hosting this show more than any other. It's chill, it's fun, it's non-consignment jewelry, so it's my opportunity to give away the farm once per month. I truly appreciate your membership here and if you are a premium member, I hope you'll come to this. Want to upgrade? http://skool.com/jewelryiq/plans Or click the three dots top right and access your membership settings. Hell, you can sign up and then cancel right after the show! 🤣 Some pictures of the jewels attached. $1 SB and usually sudden death... Have an awesome weekend! ♥️, Brad

Tip Tuesday - A New Skool Segment? 👁️🫦👁️
Greetings! There are 100 things that go through my brain on a weekly basis that I think are share worthy. I don't share them because I'm either shipping or live streaming or with my family . I really want to share more on this app. Every time I hop on Skool and take a 37 minute Facebook hiatus, it is refreshing as heck to see this interface. It's so clean and friendly and people have a sincere willingness to help each other in the online jewelry reselling community here and I think that's just superb. I love this group and want to commit to posting a Tip Tuesday here once per week. Now to pick the day of the week! 😂😂😂 XO, Brad/threefortytwo on Whatnot

I recently was in a raid train with a 30 minute segment. I sold 26 items in 30 minutes with around 11-15 people in the room. I didn’t measure necklaces, barely measured a bracelet, I just blasted through trays and was still able to engage the audience, crack jokes and sell. It was a challenge but it paid off. I don’t know that I would run as fast in normal shows, but I’m picking up what you’re putting down with this tip. And keep the tip Tuesdays coming! I’m here for all the knowledge and experience I can soak up!
Organization and back office boring stuff
Dear Abby, First - Hi! Happy to be here, long time watcher, first time caller. How are we organizing jewelry and preparing for shows? I’ve only been at this for a little over a month and have acquired so much jewelry I’m struggling with the organization and picking out what to share in my shows. I watched the videos and learned loud and clear not to dig through the abyss for requests not in arms reach, but it would be awesome to have it so organized that I could easily go “hey you want Avon, let me grab my Avon box and we’ll take a peek to see if we can find a winner. I bought 12 basic flat jewelry trays recently and found that to be effective for pulling in my last show. I’ll probably keep doing that….but let’s talk about the show being over. Are we putting them in a bin and dating them for another show? Are we leaving what didn’t sell on the tray and running it again next show? Are we bagging and categorizing? Signed, Drowning in Jewelry

@Bradley Johns thanks so much for taking the time to respond. I had a sense your answer would be something along these lines. I don’t have a storefront or list anywhere else. Also not (yet) doing consignment. New to the reselling ecosystem entirely (and loving it!). Can you explain a little more about the chronological rotation? FIFO or LIFO? I’ve sourced from various places and trying to keep track of cog across the lots has been a little challenging. Scored 84lbs of decent stuff that came out to roughly 2300 pieces, which are now blended in with items from other sources…..and now I’m lost. Probably need to get back to basics but got so excited with acquiring more, this part is now drowning me. My philosophy from the beginning has been to fail fast (but not too miserably) so I can learn and adjust. In the beginning did you run separate shows for the categories you defined or all run in a single show same base start? So far my sweet spot is $5 starts on all the things to cover cog, wn fees, and a fraction of my time. Looking forward to hearing from others as well. I’m deeply appreciative of you sharing your experience and knowledge!

@Bradley Johns yes!! I was hoping for a video response! Very helpful! I’ve been buying bulk where I can and currently my model is $5 starts Tuesdays with signed/unsigned - just cool stuff. Thursdays are $5 grab/craft bags with all the shit that I don’t want to mess around running for $5. This is all very affirming that I’m on the right track. I absolutely don’t hemhaw on needing to make my money back on a piece I blew too much money on. Get it in, get it out (that’s what she said). Now to learn how to get into the consignment business….🤓
