Good morning everyone!! My interview this morning went well I think 😊 I shared my worksheets and mini lessons with the teacher interviewing me and she seemed impressed with them. This was just the initial interview which she told me when we made the appointment for today. She said if I get a call back it will be to meet with the other teachers because they are a school of homeschool moms and we would all work together as one unit. She also gave me a tour of the building and showed me each classroom. I would be working primarily with the 2nd and 3rd graders. 🥰 My only worry is that I think I spoke a little too much which I tend to do 😂 She didn’t ask why I left my former library job but I told her it was because the environment there was pretty much chaotic. Can’t remember my exact wording but I said something like there was no support from the management (which was true) I was working with at risk youth at the time and the manager did nothing to stop the kids from literally throwing chairs in the library. When I did end up leaving after a year and a half of working there the same kids that were “at risk” when I first got there were the ones hugging me around the waist and begging me not to leave. I still see them occasionally and the first year after I left I’d go back just to visit them about once a month❤️ Before I forget, the name of the school I interviewed for this morning was called “God’s Plan Academy” which I didn’t know until I got there today. The flyer only said “GPA” and I didn’t know what it stood for until today. Also the teacher who interviewed me was named Rosalynn, same name as my mother who passed away in 2013! 🌹 So there’s a lot of synchronicities here I think!! 😍 If I don’t get this position I was thinking I could still mention to Rosalynn that I could work as a “guest” tutor for them and bring my worksheets/workshops/mini lessons to their school! Lots of possibilities!! 😃😇
