Why Monday–Friday Wasn’t Enough for Me | Payday Tip
Good morning, The truth I had to face was… Monday to Friday wasn’t enough. I had to admit something to myself last year: I’m a creature of habit—and so are you. And while I was consistent during the workweek, I treated the weekend like a pause button. No structure. No intention. Just ā€œI’ll deal with it on Monday.ā€ What I learned is this: small gaps create bigger problems over time. Temptation works like a tiny crack in the foundation. You don’t notice the damage at first, but eventually, it comes with a costly bill. Weekends don’t need to be rigid—but they do need awareness. Payday Tip: Questions to help you stay on track over the weekend - What routine do I need to maintain, even on the weekend? - Have I already set aside money for this event or outing? - What time can I use to plan for the week ahead? I know it’s tempting to ā€œlive for the weekend,ā€ but I don’t want you rotating the same level of progress week after week. If you’re ready to make real movement toward your goals this year, I’d love to support you. The next free coaching session is next Wednesday. Check the calendar for the date and time. If you want an email reminder on the day of, fill out this link to be added to the mailing list. https://pughfc.kit.com/pscfree -Latrisa

Omg great tip! I def let loose on weekends as if I got out of jail for 3 days but perspective change…… this means Monday I don’t have to clean up the ā€œmessā€ I made over the weekend or don’t have to ā€œstart overā€ because I let myself ā€œgoā€. Mondays could be less annoying!! This was soooo timely
Let Automation Support Your Financial Goals | Payday Tip
Happy New Year! There’s something natural about saying it this time of year—it just flows. With a new year comes fresh momentum, and this is a good moment to be intentional about how you move forward, especially with your finances. As you prepare for the year ahead, one of the simplest ways to stay consistent is to automate what matters. We’re far more likely to follow through when things are already decided and scheduled. This year, don’t chase financial goals casually. Move with purpose. Payday Tip: Automate what supports your goals - Automate your savings. Set a monthly or per-paycheck amount through your employer or bank so saving happens without extra effort. - Automate your schedule. Decide now which day of the week or month you’ll review your expenses. Put it on your calendar. - Automate your conversations. Choose a set time to talk through the family budget so money discussions don’t get pushed aside. Automation helps remove the familiar excuse of ā€œI don’t have time.ā€ If something is truly a priority, it will show up in your actions—and on your calendar. This is one way we steward well what God has entrusted to us, not perfectly, but faithfully and with intention. Note: - Remember, you have access to the budget prep sheet. Check the classroom tab for "Free resources". - Sign up for your free consultation: Visit https://calendly.com/pughfc/consult to schedule your session. Have a great weekend!
