I'm always excited for a week at the beach!- but sometimes I'd rather be there by myself if I'm being honest. How do we make taking solo trips the new norm? Don't get me wrong, I love my husband's family, they're great but a week is a long time in the energy of others. Which leads me to reminding you how having your own routines and disciplines is not selfish at all. It's imperative in the new Earth energy that's quietly taking over. And why there are some things I try to keep doing while away so as not to lose myself in the midst of it all. But even still, when I got home on Saturday, I slept for almost 20hrs straight! Talk about exhausted and honestly I didn't do much. I ate, I walked, I did work out a few of the days and I also indulged and was social.. and funny enough as social as I am - I mean I LOVE PEOPLE - I still need a lot of down time to refuel/refill and I didn't give myself enough of that over the course of the week. OBSERVATION WITHOUT JUDGEMENT. - what a GIFT! What are some things you do on vacay that keep you grounded? Have you ever wanted to take a solo trip and then actually did it??
