Vanity vs. Growth in Business
One of the most dangerous blind spots in business is vanity. Many founders would rather protect their ego than protect their profit. They do not want to hear that their offer is confusing, their funnel is leaky, or their product is not as good as they think. They want applause, not diagnosis. The problem is: revenue does not care about feelings. Markets reward people who listen, test, and adjust, not those who defend every idea as “brilliant” and every strategy as “misunderstood”. The founder who only wants to hear “you’re doing great” usually stays stuck at the same level for years, blaming the economy, the niche, or “bad clients”. Real growth starts the moment a founder can say: “Maybe I am wrong. Show me the data. Tear this apart.” The best operators invite uncomfortable feedback, surround themselves with people who will challenge them, and are willing to kill their favourite ideas if the numbers do not back them up. That humility is not weakness; it is a competitive advantage. If every mentor, client, or peer only tells you how amazing you are, it might feel good, but it is a red flag. The question to ask is: “Who in my circle has permission to tell me the truth, even when it stings?” Because that is usually where the next level of your business is hiding.

Indeed this is so. I welcome criticism in order for me to realign and adjust as needed. Problem is that not everyone is open enough to tell you the truth. its like those contestants on Idol that cannot sing for a loaf of bread, but their mom told them they could and so we have to endure the agony 🤣

Get Bitter Or Get Better It´s like this when you live the story of being an entrepreneur: The first part happens fast. You throw yourself into establishing a business, and you´re out on the water; the shore is pushing off behind you and the trees are getting smaller. The distant shore doesn´t seem so far, and you can feel the resolution coming, the feeling of getting out of your boat and walking the distant beach. You think it´s going to happen fast, you´ll paddle for a bit and arrive on the other side by lunch. But the truth is, it isn´t going to be over soon. The work is harder than you imagined. But the point is not just about getting to the other side or achieving your visions and seeing results. It´s much more about your character getting molded in the hard work of the middle. At some point the shore behind you stops getting smaller, and you paddle and wonder why the same strokes that used to move you now only rock the boat. You made the network and got influence through business, but you just don´t know if you have enough to make it through. You´d rather work for someone else, and live a common life, because the far shore doesn´t get closer no matter how hard you paddle. The shore you left is just as distant, and there is no going back; there is only the decision to paddle in place or stop, slide out of the hatch, and sink into the sea. When something hard happens to you, you have two choices in how to deal with it. You can either get bitter or better. Gods call to you today is clear: don't get weary of doing good, for in due season you will reap, if you do not give up. It´s like this with every crossing. You paddle until you no longer believe you can go any farther. And then suddenly, well after you thought it would happen, the other shore starts to grow, and it grows fast. The trees get taller and you can make out the crags in the cliffs, and then the shore reaches out to you, to welcome you home, almost pulling your boat onto the sand. May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace while you´re paddling your distance today. And may He grant you power to continue the crossing.

I fully agree. in my industry as a Financial Advisor we also state that providing a client with a plan is not planning until the client implements it. If its not implemented, its just a dream. My 90 Days stack is to make contact with at least one new potential client every day 💪

Burnout
Good morning all. I've been operational for 2.5 years as a Financial Advisor and at times It feels like i'm still swimming in syrup. How do you deal with getting gatvol and get the motivation to continue? in my industry we talk about "getting your bare feet on the grass" as a must do. Or in my case it could also be my BEAR feet 😁. Meaning to disconnect for a bit from everything and recharge. Give me some of your ideas. Maybe there might be some new recharge options to try
Testing projects before launching
I think we all agree that we need to test ideas before launching passion projects/businesses (As Gerold mentioned, what does your client actually want - https://www.skool.com/circle-of-founders/business-vs-hobbies?p=58e838c9), but how do you test ideas? Maybe through Facebook marketing? Maybe have someone you trust who you bounce ideas off... Have you got someone that you know will give you an honest opinion, rather than just encouraging and agreeing with you? How do YOU test ideas?

I have found that most accurate way to test an idea is through trial and error. It does mean that you need to be flexible to the adapt and implement changes if your idea doesnt work.
