This Week's Schedule ..bit all over the place 😅 (April 13-17)
Hope you had a good weekend! A couple of switch ups this week but we will still do our best to be live everyday. Monday Have coffee with us. We’re using some of the questions you asked last week and working through them live. Quick break after, then The Online Community Show will stream live with @Marianne Suarez Sabugo & @Kevin Suarez Sabugo for this week's podcast episode. Tuesday We will be talking about making quick one time offers, low ticket offers, low effort offers and why you would want to do that. Wednesday About Page Wednesday. @Eric Howell will not be able to make it but I’ll have @Artin Asghari joining me. We’ll be reviewing a few about pages from his clients and going through them together. Thursday This day will start after 12pm CST this week. Still counts as morning on the west coast right?? 🤔😅 We will be talking about treating yourself like a houseplant and why everyone needs to be doing this. Plus, it's also our Spill the Tea day. Friday Skool Weekly Recap. What happened this week, what we saw on Skool that stood out, and we want to hear how your week went. We’re aiming to be live at 9:30-9:40am CST this week. Monday may be a bit later, and Thursday will for sure be after 12pm CST. How do you handle schedule switch ups?

This Week's Schedule + Drop Your About Pages 👇 (April 6-10)
Hope you all had a great weekend. And for those that celebrate Easter, hope you had a really good one. We’ve got a fun week planned and it’s a mix of just hanging out and talking through things that come up when you’re actually running and growing a community. April 6 Have Coffee With Us + Live Podcast Interview with @Artin Asghari This is more of a hangout style day. If you’ve been wanting to get to know people more or just be in the room and talk, this is it. We’ll also show what a good Coffee Hour can look like so it’s not awkward and actually gets people engaging. Then right after this we’re rolling straight into a live recording of The Online Community Show with Artin, so stick around after a quick break to watch it happen in real time! April 7 Podcast Guesting for Traffic with @Eric Howell! We’ll cover how to get on podcasts, what to say yes to, and how people are using this as a traffic source. I’ll be interviewing Eric based on his decade in podcasting and everything he’s seen work and not work. This was a requested topic from a couple of you, so thank you. April 8 About Page Reviews. We’ll be picking 2 pages to review. We’ll go through them directly and give clear feedback on what’s working, what’s not, and what could be improved. Drop yours below if you want them to be reviewed! We may even have time for you to jump on live with us, if you'd like! :) April 9 Spill the Tea. Hangout day. We’re sharing conspiracies we believe in, drop the mic style. No explaining, no defending, just say it and move on. How shocking will this day get...?? April 10 Skool Weekly Recap. What happened this week, what we saw on Skool that stood out, and we want to hear how your week went. We’re aiming to be live at 9:30am CST this week. 👇 If you want yours considered, drop your About page link & who your ideal member is below. 👇 Do you guys have a favorite day of the week to tune in with us? 👀

Let's go!
Skool VAT Update for European Members | Higher Price at Checkout
I want to give you a heads up on something you may start noticing, especially if you have members joining from Europe. Some European customers will now see VAT added at checkout. This can make the final price higher than what’s shown on your About page. For example, someone might see $199, but when they go to pay, the total is higher based on their country’s tax rate. The percentage is not the same for everyone. You might see 19%, 20%, 21% or other variations depending on where the customer is located. This is happening because Skool is acting as the merchant of record, which means they are required to collect VAT for many EU customers based on the customer’s location. As Andrew Kirby shared: “Your new customers will have this information on their invoice. Previous customers won't show VAT on them because Skool is responsible for VAT on all those existing payments and was paying for it out-of-pocket while we setup our system and registered for sales tax collection in the EU.” 📣 A few important things to know: This applies to EU customers, not all of Europe UK customers are not affected in the same way This applies to new customers going forward The VAT will show on their invoice Previous customers will not suddenly see VAT added to past payments The tax is based on the customer’s location, not yours This is not an extra fee being taken from you The main thing to be aware of is the buyer experience. If someone expects one price and then sees a higher total at checkout, it can create confusion or hesitation, especially if you are marketing with phrases like “ONLY $199” and that is not what they end up paying. Nothing you need to change right now, but it’s worth knowing so you are not caught off guard if someone asks. That is why I'm making this post. 👇 Have you had any members mention this yet?

Typical that Governments want their lb of flesh. Worth noting for sure.
Welcome to What is Skool? A Free Public Community
This community helps you understand what Skool is, how the platform works, and stay up to date with platform changes that affect how people use it. Sometimes I will highlight Skool communities that are worth checking out. These are shared as real examples of how people are using the platform and what different types of communities can look like in practice. So What is Skool? Skool is a community platform where people can discover or create communities. People use Skool to run communities that include content, discussions, events, and memberships in one place. Inside the Classroom, you will find three main resources: Skool Basics This walks through what Skool is, what Skoolers is, and how the Skool Games work. Skool Build Template This is a practical starter kit you get free access to just by joining the community. The build template includes a checklist, a questionnaire to help you think through your idea, and Canva templates you can use to set things up visually. Skool Clarity Call Feedback Real responses from community members about their ideas and the clarity they gained from clarity calls. This is something I recommend community owners do for their own members when starting out, no matter what their community is about. You can see what others have to say by joining the community for free. What will the content in here look like? You will see: - Resources and templates you can use. - Our latest Skool videos and podcast episodes. - Highlighted communities that are worth checking out. - Posts about new Skool features and platform changes. - Breakdowns of how different Skool communities are structured and what is working.
