Celebrate 1st Drafts of Our Christmas Movies This Wednesday! + Goals Group Right After!
Hey SSC, as we wrap up "Write a Christmas Movie in 45 Days," with our 7th and final meeting, let's Celebrate after you write Fade Out! Feel free to bring a celebration beer or food or something to our next meeting!! Writing a 90 page movie is a Huge Accomplishment, and by writing 14 pages a week like we did, we did it!!! Take the next few weeks to rewrite, as next month is all about selling scripts! And you can get ready to sell that screenplay! After we talk about our endings for the first 30 minutues, we'll go right into our Goals Group! For those just going to the goals group, feel free to join the meeting at this time for Write a Christmas Movie in 45 Days! :)

3 goals for January (there's more, but here's the 3 I'll post): 1) Table read for "Christmas Forevermore" 2) Write 3 shorts that I will eventually film 3) Crush my next improv performance at the end of January
๐ŸŽ„ Write a Christmas Movie in 45 Days!
Starting November 5th, if you've ever wanted to write a Christmas Movie, now's the time! By writing 2 pages a day, you'll have a 90-page finished holiday movie before Christmas! ๐ŸŽ„ Every Wednesday, we'll have a meeting to discuss our movies and make sure we hold each other accountable! With the holidays in the air, it's the perfect time to write a Christmas Movie! If you're interested, COMMENT on this post or drop a GIF.

Finished the first draft! Super happy with how it ends. I try to incorporate a blend of Christmas magic and logical thinking between the two leads (two smart college students) to "solve the mystery". I think it really works for being a self-contained movie with just two locations with nine speaking roles and extras. A lot of comedy, especially in the 2nd half. Hope to make this real one day either by selling it or producing it myself

@Jordan Imiola Totally! It's really good teamwork at the end and the female lead shines in solving the mystery.
What were your Favorite Movies of 2025?
Just curious? as I'm looking for things to watch on streaming, I'm also curious what will get nominated as awards season approaches. What were your Favorite 2025 Movies?

I haven't watched many movies this year, but I enjoyed The Minecraft Movie. For a video game movie, I was impressed with that the characters had a background and motivations. It wasn't the usual "let's go get the mission done" from the start like other VG movies *ahem Super Mario Bros with Chris Pratt ahem* And of course, Love at First Spite. Very funny from start to finish

Greetings
Hi all. I have been buried in legal cases, but the good news is that we won a $700,000 jury verdict against the County of Los Angeles! Huge win with potential systemic repercussions against LA government. I just got retained for another case as a result. Very exciting! Iโ€™ve started on my second script for my series, Head Trip. Itโ€™s about the bulimic hospital administrator. One of the nurses hears her puking in the bathroom and assumes she is pregnant. Rumors fly. Baby gifts start arriving. A surprise baby shower is planned. This all leads to the admin confronting her illness and seeking healing. I also have the plot determined for a 3rd episode. I have a degree in music, so I wrote the series theme song too. Here is a link: https://suno.com/s/Gxfz6tmCYiPXtvsY
