Watch real actors bring a screenplay to life! On Monday, October 5th, we'll be reading "New York State of Mind," (A Feature Film dramedy written by @Judith Halbreich) If you've never experienced a real table read before, definitely come check this one out! Hearing actors bring a screenplay to life is a completely different experience from simply reading one on the page. It's also a great way to learn screenwriting by listening to what works in dialogue, pacing, characters, scenes, and the overall story. And you DON'T have to read a role to participate! Writers are more than welcome to simply join us on Zoom, watch and listen to the entire read. Afterward, we'll open things up for discussion, and anyone who would like to can offer Judith feedback and notes on the screenplay.

Hey all, I just emailed 19 agents + managers (and scheduled others for my clients) for representation as I was listening to the Buffalo Sabers game. I've attached the list I used from the WGA if anyone wants to download it. My goal is to send 100 emails by the end of this week, and I'll talk about it during next week's Follow Up Thursday's / Selling Scripts meeting!

I am writing a time travel dramatic feature titled "Half a Lifetime Away" about a quantum physicist named Dr. Harold Morris who travels back in time to find a cure for his wife's rare illness. To promote this film, I started to record vlogs from the POV of Dr. Morris. It all occurs before the movie and provides the atmosphere for what the movie will be about. Check it out on Instagram! I’m considering entering my “Paul’s Cross” screenplay to this contest promoted by Final Draft. The fee is $60 which seems reasonable. I went online and feedback was that the contest is legit and reputable, even if the odds of winning anything are about the same as hitting the lottery. Any suggests pro or con?
