My Surprise And Biggest Announcement Yet 👀
Heather How are you all doing? And we're here on my final big announcement, I'm really interested to know if anyone has guessed it yet. What do you reckon, Des? Have you guessed it yet? Des I think so. Yeah, I've got an idea. You got a good idea? Heather Well, on top of up leveling on premium, and going pro. I have also— we've added like the 3 Ps, haven't we? Sort of premium, pro, and then the final one is partnership. Des Yay! Heather So Des and I have joined in partnership here on Skool Events Daily, and I'm gonna get Des to explain more about why and what he's gonna be doing because this is gonna going to be his role. But I am still in the front, I am still running Skool Events Daily. So you're not getting rid of this sort of lovely, beautiful face and exchanging it for Des's, although Des's will appear. Thankfully, I will let him appear every so often. Fire away, Des. Why, why have we joined in partnership? Des Yeah, sure. Thanks. Thanks a lot. And yeah, really exciting. And I think it's something we spoke about a few weeks ago. And we have been speaking about and it's been finalized. So one of the main reasons is I've been an admirer of the community for quite a while now. I absolutely love the model. I absolutely love the way we're able to actually promote lots of different communities and just obviously network as well. And I also like you, Heather, and otherwise I wouldn't have— we wouldn't be doing this. So it's— I don't know, I just think there's a massive opening for events. There are a couple of communities that are doing it, but I think it can be done better. And as you were saying, I'm not going to be at the forefront. I'll be in the background, hopefully helping with the marketing side of things, but you will still be running it. You'll be the face of the community. And yeah, nothing really changes for anyone really, but hopefully some new exciting things coming in the latter part of 2026. Heather Definitely. I mean, from our conversations, we have so many ideas that we are gonna bring forth. And what we have done this week is just really the start of it. But we really do want to sharpen things up and remove a lot of friction and make it a smoother journey, not just for people holding events, but also for people coming in and looking for the type of event that they want. But what I love about working with you, Des, is that you have a lot of tech ideas and everything, which I don't have. And you bring in a lot of experience, like you said, on the marketing side, but also in relation to events that you hold yourself. And Des is gonna appear on a regular basis doing some events, and we're going to expand to bringing events into— as in holding events in Skool Events Daily as well. So we're gonna be a really good platform for that. But we're not going to give too many of our secrets away at the moment, but this is our big surprise. Theirs is my big secret.

We had a really good call yesterday, and a few questions came up that I think are worth sharing here, because they're questions I get a lot. @Lynn Smargis asked whether she should be optimising her podcast topics for YouTube search or just making whatever she wants. My honest answer: use search-first content to bring new people in, and make your podcast for the people who already found you. Your podcast isn't going to be discovered. It's where trust gets built once someone has. She also asked about YouTube community posts not getting any traction and whether she should stop. Keep going. Use polls early on; they outperform everything else at this stage. Schedule a month's worth in one sitting and forget about it. The engagement comes as the channel grows, not before. @Alicia Powers asked the question I wish more people asked out loud: if I give everything away for free, what am I actually selling? The answer is you. Not the information. People don't buy frameworks; they buy the person who can help them apply it. After four or five videos, your viewer starts to feel like they know you. That's when they reach out. That's what you're building towards. @Bill Hazelton raised something a lot of full-time creators don't talk about honestly: where to actually spend your time across platforms. My take is you spend real time where you get real traction, and you distribute everywhere else. That answer is different for every person on that call. For me, it's Skool. For Alicia it's probably LinkedIn. You have to let the data tell you, not the advice.

Events Aren’t Just Content—They’re Your Magnet🧲
Show up with events regularly, and people actually get to see you, your skills and abilities and they see if their energy aligns with yours. Then they start to understand what it’s like to work with you, without you having to explain a thing. Do it consistently and… boom. You’re that person they know, trust, and want to hang out with. Events aren’t just about teaching, they’re about showing up as you. Your vibe, your style, your energy… that’s what people connect with. And when they feel you consistently, they start showing up too. Asking questions, sharing ideas, engaging… because they already know you’re the real deal. So don’t just do events. Make them your stage, your habit, your way of letting people know who you are. Your presence is magnetic, let it shine. Make the most of doing events, they are a powerful magnet to attract the right people to you.

This is true and I notice I get anxious at the thought of organizing a schedule of events. This has me wanting to do less not more. Overpromising is a fear. Working on this. And yes I do intend to post events with you. TY 🫣

@Carrie Turck yes tiny numbers can be very good bc I real-eyes, oh Lord, what if I did have 20+ people how would I manage this space alone. Could NOT. Fired my Mexico-based tech person but she was excellent back up being a TCM doctor but she kept having connection problems. therefore had to seek other ways to do the 3C’s - communicate (outreach), content (posting, etc), conversation (with warm or cold contacts/prospects). This focus lessens my anxiety and dependence on zooms to get leads. Marketing is truly another animal! As is editing past zooms etc.! Thanks for responding @Carrie Turck i sometimes feel alone in this fast-paced Skool environment 🙏🏾
