Starting AI Automation From Absolute Zero — Need Guidance
Hey everyone, I’m a complete beginner with 0 technical background, but I want to seriously get into AI automation/AI agency stuff starting today as Day 1. If you were in my position and had to start from scratch again, what would you learn first and in what order? Also: - What tools should I focus on first? - What skills actually matter in the beginning? - What should I avoid wasting time on? - And how would you get your first client as a beginner? - Would really appreciate a realistic roadmap from people who’ve already been through the process. 🙌

@Muskan Sharma That actually helps a lot. When you say “pick one boring task,” how do you identify which automations businesses are actually willing to pay for? And for a complete beginner, what’s the simplest workflow you’d recommend building first in n8n that can realistically help land a first client?

Looking for a Mentor (AI Automation) – Serious Learner Ready to Put in the Work
Hello everyone, I’m looking for a mentor who can guide me with AI automation (n8n / Zapier / Make / AI agents) and help me stay focused so I can actually achieve results instead of jumping between ideas. I am fully committed to learning and can dedicate 7-8 hours daily. My goal is simple:Build real automation systems that businesses will pay for and start earning as soon as possible. Current background: • Beginner in AI automation but actively learning • Freelancer (subtitles ) • Comfortable learning new tools quickly • Interested in practical systems that solve real problems (lead follow-ups, CRM automation, missed call automation, WhatsApp/Telegram bots, etc.) What I am looking for in a mentor: • Someone experienced in building/selling automation systems • Can provide direction so I don’t waste time on unnecessary things • Helps me understand what skills to focus on first • Occasional guidance or feedback on what I am building • Honest advice about what works in the real market What I can offer: • Consistency and serious effort • Will implement what you suggest • Respect your time and guidance • Share progress regularly My main aim is to reach a level where I can confidently build and sell useful automations. If anyone is open to mentoring or guiding, I would really appreciate it. Even small guidance can make a big difference. Thank you.

@Tim West Hi Tim, thanks for the suggestion! At the moment, my budget is limited, but I am willing to invest in the right mentor if I’m confident the guidance will help me build real skills and start getting results. I have just heard Liam Ottley’s name, but I don’t have much idea yet about AAA or AIAS+, so I’m still trying to understand whether they would be the right fit for someone at my current level (complete beginner in AI automation). My main goal is to have a mentor who can provide some hand-holding initially and guide me clearly on what to focus on, so I don’t end up moving aimlessly — doing one thing today and something completely different the next day without making real progress. If you have any insights about: • which one is better for beginners • whether the mentorship aspect is actually hands-on • or if there are any other good mentorship options I would really appreciate your opinion. Thanks again for pointing me in this direction!

@Tim West Thanks for mentioning Owen Rensland, I hadn’t heard about him before. I’ll definitely check him out and see if his mentorship is more hands-on and suitable for a beginner. Also, if you don’t mind sharing, are you currently still in the learning phase or have you already started getting clients? It would really help me set realistic expectations and understand what kind of progress is possible in the next few months. Even if you feel you are just a little ahead, I still believe learning from someone slightly ahead can be very helpful because you recently went through the same beginner challenges. So if you ever have any suggestions on:• what skills to focus on first• what I should avoid wasting time on• or what helped you progress faster I would really appreciate it. Thanks again for taking the time to help, it means a lot! 😊
Easiest Automation to Sell as a Beginner?
Quick question for those already selling automations: If someone is just starting, what is the easiest automation to sell first to build confidence? I’m looking for something: - simple to build - solves a clear problem - easy to get first client Would really appreciate real examples that worked for you.

🚀New Video: Stop Learning n8n in 2026...Learn THIS Instead
Stop learning n8n in 2026. Seriously. If you’re still trying to learn n8n in 2026, you might be focusing on the wrong thing. In this video, I explain why you should stop learning n8n in 2026 and what you should learn instead. If you’re thinking about learning n8n in 2026, watch this first. I break down why some creators say to stop learning n8n in 2026, what the better alternative is, and how you can stay ahead by learning the right automation skills instead. Enjoy!

@Dani Szwarc Haha, I’ll be honest, most of that went a little over my head 😅 but what I understood is that you’re basically saying it’s better to learn both side by side because they serve different purposes. n8n seems more straightforward when it comes to actually selling to clients — you build the workflow, they can see it working, then you move it to their own cloud. And Claude Code seems more like a tool that helps the developer become faster and more productive, especially for creating workflows or automating personal repetitive tasks. So in short, learn both together, but n8n is easier to directly monetize, while Claude Code improves efficiency. Hope I understood it correctly 🙂

@Dani Szwarc That makes a lot of sense. Thank you😊
Anyone wanna learn n8n together?
Hello guys, I'm looking for someone who wants to learn n8n together to stay motivated, learn from each other and supporting each other. It's not about collaborating as business but building together. Even a group would be nice. If you try selling a course or sell me coaching please don't answer. Kind Regards, Leo!

Are you starting as a complete beginner? I’m asking because I come from a non-technical background and currently have very little knowledge, but I’m interested in learning n8n. I thought it might also be helpful if we had someone to keep each other accountable during the learning process.
