Email Cart Recovery Is Dying in India… Is WhatsApp the Real Play?
Thinking out loud about WhatsApp Cart Recovery for e-commerce stores… Email abandoned cart flows are everywhere, but in India most customers don’t even open promotional emails. WhatsApp, on the other hand, gets read almost instantly. So I’m exploring building a simple system that: • reminds shoppers about their cart on WhatsApp • lets them reply with questions • brings them back to checkout Curious to hear from fellow automation builders or anyone working with e-commerce workflows:: 1️⃣ Have you tried WhatsApp recovery before? Did it work better than email? 2️⃣ If you were to use something like this, what would matter most — recovery rate, automation, or customer experience? 3️⃣ What would make you trust a service like this enough to try it? Not selling anything — just trying to understand whether this solves a real problem or is just another shiny automation idea. Would genuinely appreciate your thoughts 🙌

@Martin Gehrken Appreciate all the insights you shared here, this has given me a much clearer direction for testing the MVP properly. I’ll definitely share results once I have some data.

@Asad Patel That’s a good point about data quality and scalability. From your experience, which WhatsApp Business API providers handle cart recovery or e-commerce automation well without causing deliverability issues? Any you’d personally recommend?
Thinking of Building WhatsApp Cart Recovery for Stores — Smart Move or Bad Idea?
Hi everyone 👋 I’m exploring the idea of building a WhatsApp-based abandoned cart recovery system for e-commerce stores (similar to email recovery flows, but via WhatsApp), and I’d really value your insights. I’d love your thoughts on a few things: • Do you think this is a service that can sell well in India? • Is there stronger demand for this in other countries? If yes, which markets respond best to WhatsApp outreach? • Are there already strong competitors offering WhatsApp cart recovery that I should study? • What features could make this offer stand out instead of being just another reminder message? • What kind of results or ROI proof do store owners usually expect before buying something like this? • Any common mistakes people make when trying to sell solutions like this to e-commerce brands? I’m trying to build something genuinely useful rather than just another automation, so any advice, experiences, or even warnings would really help 🙌 Thanks in advance!

@Muskan Ahlawat Thanks for the tip on n8n! I’ve heard it’s incredibly powerful and cost-effective. Since I'm coming from a non-technical background (moving over from subtitle writing), I’m a bit worried about the coding/JavaScript side of n8n. Do you think the learning curve is manageable for a total beginner, or should I use Make.com to learn the 'logic' of automation first before switching over?

@Muskan Ahlawat That makes sense. Thank you.
For beginners who don't know where to start
Most AI tutorials are made by developers, for developers. They skip steps. They throw around jargon. They assume you already know things you don't. You watch video after video and somehow end up more confused than when you started. That's not a you problem. That's a teaching problem. I made something that fixes it: -> For beginners who don't know where to start PS: If you’re already an AIS+ member, we will be rolling this out to you for free shortly. No need to buy it.

@Nate Herk Love this approach, Nate. For those of us coming from non-technical fields, does this course provide a specific roadmap for building our first 'real' BPA system from scratch? I'm looking for a hand-holding blueprint rather than just more tutorials.
