Learning French is Simple but Hard
If I have to give you the formula to learn french in a few lines, it would be as following - Input - reading and listening - go to as many interesting sources you can find in your target language and consume those. The more interesting these sources are to you, the better. - Grammar - Feed yourself just the basics of grammar to get started and then keep consuming rest of the concepts alongside your input routine. - Repeat Once you have done enough of this, output (speaking and writing) wont be an issue. When I started learning french I was looking for some secret key to learn the language, shortcuts, vocabulary lists, some magic potion to help me learn faster. But the only magic potion there is with language learning is contextual input. I wish whole heartedly that there was one and I could give it to you. But there is none. P.S. - You already have learned a language in a similar way. Your Mother Tongue. You never picked up a grammar book when you were a kid, Just learned the language by listening to people around you talk. Your brain, which is a beast at picking up patterns, did its thing and slowly and steadily you starting speaking. Now as an adult, all we are doing is supercharging your language learning abilities by adding grammar concepts and reading into the mix. Its a fun journey, only if you let it be.
