Project Competency Management
@Tim Fairley or @Josh Turner have either of you (or anyone else for that matter) found AI or general resources for effectively managing worker competency on projects. We have a very long and wide excel file that has all staff and a wide range of skills that is not that useful when onsite managers/supervisors are trying to show staff are up to date on their skills and certifications (first aid and inductions being a classic one). I've looked at some online tools like Damstra and Skills-Base.com but I know one tool doesn't necessarily mean a good system. Love to hear if anyone has insight/experience on approach or tools that have worked.

Both are useful but priority is probably the latter, which I'd hope would be the basis to cleanly filter, present or report on the competence of workers on specific projects (rather than the whole company)

Thanks @Josh Turner will have a crack at setting up the database.
What do you want to get out of the community (September)?
Hey Everybody, New month! So new goals I know for me, I have had this big realization that AI is just genuinely not that difficult to use. I guess I am very deep in the bubble of people who play with it a ton. But increasingly, I am becoming more convinced that the real skills I want to focus on mastering are my construction management skills. So trying to do more content on construction projects and businesses. The skills that actually matter. The thing I find hard is that AI is such a massive buzzword that any video I do with AI in the title does well. I'm tryin to balance that with the topic that I think really has a huge amount of depth and complexity to it which is Construction. I did this video and was really happy with it. This is more the style of content I want to be doing What are your goals for September?

I actually initial found your content from looking up construction management processes, the oz context is similar to NZ so found it applied well to the NZ contract framework. We have just started a large multi-year 3-waters renewals contract so good chance to set up new systems and standards (and use of AI to deliver effectively)
