Day 2 - Action Packed Lineup
Wow, thank you to everyone who attended live sessions, watched replays, or explored the classrooms yesterday. I hope you were able to walk away with one or two nuggets. One of the most uplifting things I heard yesterday was when a participant told Chef @Andrew Brooks he was the first person to make nutrition make sense (I'm paraphrasing here). Here's the cool part - all of our speakers are also in the community so don't hesitate to strike up a conversation and ask your questions. If you have a question, my guess is someone else does, too. Okay, on with the plan for today. First, if you have pre-teens or teens in your life who like to draw, I suggest you pop over to the #Illustration Scholarship Journey with Beth to learn how your artist could potentially be published. Coming up today we have several live sessions, all are Central US Time. At 9:00 we have @Tosca Fasso and Christopher with Play It Again, Claude! Where you will learn four simple prompts to turn Claude (a free AI tool) into a creative play partner. At 10:00 @John Futch will be sharing beginning guitar. If you have someone in your family who is interested in learning an instrument, this is a great starting point. At 12:00 @Brenda Chilstrom and I will be discussing Emotional Regulation in Children. I encourage you to watch the video here #The Missing Piece of Emotional Regulation - Brenda before the session. Then at 5:00 this evening @Nat Carey will be joining us from "down under" to talk about what happens when dad's have nothing left. We also have quite a few pre-recorded sessions for you and your family, why not take a look at role playing games through the lens of DnD over here: #Dungeons & Dragons for Families with Cam, if gaming isn't your thing, check out #Praise What Can Be Repeated with Max

@Andrew Brooks Looking forward to seeing you there Andrew!
Day 2 Mid-Day Recap
Oh what fun we had to day, starting with @Tosca Fasso and Christopher Ward demonstrating how to use Claude (or your ai platform of choice) to create four fun family games. The best part, after you create the game, print it out and get back offline. If you missed their session, you can catch the replay #Play It Again, Claude! with Tosca & Christopher. Right after the game time, we moved into guitar lessons with @John Futch and if you or your child have any interest in learning guitar, I highly recommend popping in, by the end of the session we learned 3 chords, a bit of the Imperial March (Star Wars), and Happy Birthday. You can catch the replay here #Beginner Guitar with John As a reminder, all sessions will be available to you through August 31, if you would like to have access to them after that date, you can purchase an All-Access pass for $16 here. We have two more live sessions today with @Brenda Chilstrom and @Nat Carey. Stay tuned for your end of day recap. What's one topic you would have liked to have seen at the summit and wasn't offered? Already planning for next year.

Daughter Update
For those of you who were here last week, I wanted to provide a quick update on my daughter and to thank everyone who reached out. My daughter saw the podiatrist earlier this week, no tendon damage and stitches come out in two weeks. She’s healing nicely and in good spirits. I spent the day with her today, chasing a toddler so she could rest.

Let's Talk about Your Day
Well, I didn't make it to my own event this morning, the Playful Shift and let me tell you why. Flee, my 25 year old senior cat decided that 2:30 a.m. was the perfect time for a refill on his food bowl, given his age and health conditions, and his very loud meow, I had no choice but to drag myself from bed and feed him and the other two cats. Hmm, I see a sink full of dirty dishes, which triggers "mom" brain to go into overdrive, let me just unload and load the dishwasher and I can go back to sleep. Oh wait, did Ken clean out the cat boxes, let's check - nope. Maybe that's why Flee was yowling - okay, better clean those and then try to nap before my 6:30 meeting. Nah, I'm up and wired, no sleep here, it's 3:30 now so let's check Skool and then maybe play a short game to wear myself out. Wait, how'd it get to be 5:00 a.m.? Hmm, if I'm going to have English muffins for breakfast, time to get them out of the fridge, shaped, and then proofed. Okay, it's 6:15 call in 15 minutes, perhaps I should take a quick nap - nope. Get on the call and then realize, my muffins are overproofing. Grab the cast iron skillet, start to heat it up - 10 minutes, lightly oiled. Dang, oil is smoking and about to catch on fire- pan too hot. Gotta save it. Pour out the oil, burn the finger, still on the call. Get a new pan started, turn the heat down on the old pan. New pan too small, finger burnt, muffins burnt - into the trash we go. Finally get the heat right. Woohoo. We have muffins. How was your morning?
