Galatians 6:7 reveals one of God's unchanging laws, yet it is often misunderstood and misused. Human laws may change, but God's laws, whether seen in nature or in the spiritual realm, remain constant. When a farmer plants wheat seeds, provides water and sunshine, and carefully cultivates the crop, the harvest will always be wheat, not corn. This is a natural law established by God. It cannot be altered. It has always worked, and it always will. The same principle applies to our lives. Our thoughts, attitudes, words, and actions are seeds that we continually sow. In time, we reap according to what we have planted. Whatever we consistently focus our minds upon and send out through our thoughts and deeds will eventually produce a harvest of its own. God's law of sowing and reaping operates not only in the physical world but also in the mental and spiritual realms. Therefore, we should be careful about the seeds we sow, because in due season we will reap the results of what we have planted.
