Hi everyone, I need some honest perspective. I was planning to take my CSWIP 3.1u and DMT courses soon, with the goal of landing my first job in Dubai. However, given the current war on the Middle East, the strikes on infrastructure, and the general chaos in the region, I’m seriously reconsidering the timing. I’m worried that with many projects in the UAE now disrupted, the market will be flooded with experienced inspectors fleeing the conflict, making it nearly impossible for a new 3.1u tech to find work. These courses are a huge investment, and I’m wondering if it's smarter to wait a few months to see how this geopolitical nightmare settles. Is anyone currently in the region or seeing how this is affecting recruitment in the North Sea? I’m sure I’m not the only one stressed about this right now. Would appreciate your "gut feelings" on whether to push forward or hit the brakes.

It is very valuable for people like me aspiring for a career in this industry and who is trying to gather as much info as possible. I do have a couple of questions regarding the market for entry-level divers, and also the future of saturation diving. So if anyone has some insight on these, I'll appreciate it. 1_ Do norwegian companies hire english speaking entry-level divers? I know some swedish myself but not to a conversational level, I've read that for newly certified divers, it is common to work in fish farming, and most of the companies I've found, they state as a requirement to know the local language. 2_ With all the development of robotics, what are your thoughts about the need for saturation divers in the next 10-20 years?
