Our own Logan Hobson is an email copywriter who works with real estate investing and other financial gurus. Logan has been doing this for years. And he gets all his clients via Instagram. Logan offered to share his system for getting clients off Instagram with the folks inside Daily Email House. He forwarded me a link to an earlier presentation he did on this topic inside another community. I know nothing about Instagram, but I was positively surprised. Logan's system is not a matter of endlessly hounding people over DMs. In fact, I think it's a system he could sell, and I hope he will sell it in the future. If you'd like to find out Logan's system, you can do so on a live training, exclusive for Daily Email House members, that Logan will hold on Tuesday July 22 at 8pm CET/2pm EST/11 PST. The link to join the call, when the the time comes, is below: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/82596165047?pwd=R2JHf99jGMBwCza9I4a79uxBk6RXJE.1 P.S. If you're wondering about the cover image for this event, it's my attempt to be funny. It's a face swap of Logan's one public mugshot with a photo of Selena Gomez, who ChatGPT tells me is the biggest name on Instagram. Btw, bikini photos are not a part of Logan's system.

@John Bejakovic I won't be able to attend live but will definitely watch the recording.
How To Get Clients On LinkedIn
Last night, Chavy Helfgott gave a great training for folks inside Daily Email House about how she gets clients on LinkedIn. A few highlights that stood out to me: * How long (or rather how quickly) it took Chavy to be able to transition from a magazine writer charging $0.10 per word to a copywriter whose smallest package cost $1,000, all thanks to LinkedIn clients * How she takes her daily emails and converts them into LinkedIn posts (my takeaway: lop off the top, though Chavy has a more elegant and effective Claude prompt that she shared) * What kinds of connections can be even more valuable than potential clients or people in your target audience (no, it's not big influencers in your market) If you are looking for clients, Chavy's training is worth watching and acting on. Here's the recording:

Just watched the recording - really motivating for someone like me who doesn’t have an active LinkedIn. Great tips on creating a profile, building your network, and making the most of the platform overall. Definitely saving this for near-future reference. Thanks so much, @Chavy Helfgott 🙂
Which industry norms can you...?
Another daily “10 ideas” epiphany, at least for me personally. (You can see my previous one here.) My list of 10 ideas today was: "1358. 10 norms in my field (or in the area I am working on right now)" The motivation for this is the old Dan Kennedy chestnut, if everybody’s doing it, then do the opposite, because once something becomes the norm, you can only get normal results with it... ... and normal results, meaning being at the mean or the average, are bad in any field. Not because it's average, and we want to be special. But because average is usually right at the poverty line. So I made my list of industry norms. It had things on it like “daily emails” and “stories.” The trouble is, those are good practices. It doesn’t make sense to do away with them. Then I had an idea. It’s to come up with a slight tweak or alternative to the norms in my field, rather than thinking about doing away with these norms altogether. A couple examples from my list: 3. Welcome sequences => Welcome squeeze pages or “no opt-in” lead magnets (Andre Chaperon style) 8. Sharing testimonials and case studies => Selling testimonials and case studies You can see my complete list in the attached image if you're curious. It was a cool exercise for me, and maybe some of these ideas will turn into something. I wanted to share it with you to encourage you to do this exercise yourself. If you’d like to try it, do the following two steps: 1. Make a list of 10 norms in your field (or around a specific project you’re working on now) 2. Come up with a tweak or replacement for each norm — without worrying about doing away with the norm entirely If you do make this list, take a screenshot of it and post it in a comment below. You might encourage other people to do the same, and you never know what other ideas can get sparked.

"8. Sharing testimonials and case studies => Selling testimonials and case studies" This is brilliant! It reminds me of something I think copywriter Trevor Crook said in a talk, he advised one of his clients to stop offering free evaluations and start charging for them instead. So, maybe in the spirit of deviating from industry rules - charge for what other people give away for free.
Can I get your advice/help? (2/∞)
A couple days ago, Brian Kurtz wrote: === Inside my Titans Xcelerator Mastermind, I recently created “accountability PODS” (i.e. groups of four to six members, getting together once a week to talk about specific opportunities and challenges within their businesses, outside of the larger group calls). === This caught my attention because I have been thinking how to create spinoffs from this community. For example, we had a post rise up on the topic of sales. Several people, myself included, expressed interest in talking about sales... but the post eventually died away. Other people have mentioned they would like some sort of discussion group or channel to riff on how to solve the daily email puzzle in real time. This would be separate to sharing emails they've already written, which we now have with Daily Email Habit #X posts. Plus, maybe like Brian says, some people would want accountability? Or other topics? AI? Deliverability? Paid ads? Writing for insight? I don't know. So once again, I'd like to ask for your advice: First off, do we need spinoffs from this community? Would you yourself be interested in participating in any? Second, if spinoffs sound like a good idea to you, how do you think we could implement this? What technology or format would keep you from tearing your hair out or rage-banging on your keyboard? Thanks in advance.

@Jakub Červenka Yes, something like an old-school forum with a simple taxonomy (categories, tags).
Are you going to any live events in 2025?
A couple years ago I went to a couple of conferences in the copywriting space. It was surprisingly cool, particularly since they were both held in nice places that I enjoyed visiting beyond the actual conference topic. Last year, I didn't go to any copywriting-related stuff, in large part because I didn't know of anything that sounded attractive. I did get up on stage last year and talk at a health conference, thanks to the health newsletter I was writing at the time. That was a funky experience, but I'm glad I went and did it. This year, I have no idea, no plans. So lemme ask: Are you planning on attending any kind of live event or conference this year? Related to your industry specifically, related to your personal interests, or related to business or marketing? If so, let me know below. Maybe we end up meeting in real life.

I would like to attend The Marketing Meetup Conference in London this March: https://themarketingmeetup.com/the-marketing-meetup-conference/ Can't plan too far ahead right now, so unsure if I'll be able to make it.
