My current situation: Last year I rode about 3 imperial centuries (100 miles) in casual rides, with rests and in a group setting. My desired situation is to build more strenght and durability. My goal is to ride 5 imperial centuries this year (a few solo) at a decent pace and without or very little rest. Therefore my question is: what workouts and routines do you recommend I follow to sustain my efforts for longer rides?
From 253 to 263 in 4 Weeks
Hello all! I'm Niels from the Netherlands, always did some cycling just now and then. Started seriously 2 years ago to be able to complete the 240 kilometers Amstel gold race, which i did. After that the training motivation was somehow completely gone and my other hobby Tennis took over.. Now i want to start again and keep training to be able to ride some bigger non-competitive rides next year again. I started today with my FTP test resulted in a 253 Watt and i want to increase this number to 263 Watt in 4 weeks and hopefully more. To be able to achieve this goal I will complete more than 🟢95% of my training as planned. As a 'sidetrack' i want to lose 10 kilograms of weight but that's a goal for the whole year

4 Week Challenge Result - From 291 W to 318 W (+9.3%)
Today I have finished my 4 week challenge. My goal was to improve my 15min power. I did the same 2x8min test as a month ago. Here’s what I wrote 4 weeks ago: "Hello, my name is Justas, I am from Lithuania 🇱🇹. I get dropped on group intervals sessions so my goal for upcoming 4 weeks is to improve 15min power. I did the 2x8min test and the average power is 323w. I will do the same test after 4 weeks to see if there is a change. Wish me luck :D" My 4 Week Challenge Results: • 93% of workouts completed as planned • Result 2x8 min test 1: 323 Watts • Result 2x8 min test 2: 353 Watts • 9.3% Improvement • FTP from 291 -> 318 Watts **How do you feel about your challenge?** I am very happy with the result, did not expect such improvement. **What did you learn?** Training becomes easy if you have a plan. **Did this challenge help you move closer to your goal? Please explain how it did or didn’t.** I improved my FTP, I got stronger so hopefully I wont get dropped that easily :) **What about this challenge did you dislike and/or like? Please get specific.** I did not like the upper 120% time limit, however it makes sense **To whom would you recommend this challenge?** To anyone who want to improve.

Pretty good improvement. Than you for setting the example. Your ftp is pretty good.
4 Week Challenge - Session 10
Hey All, hope everyone’s challenges and training is going good. At Xmas I bought a Zwift training bike for training at home when the weather wasn’t good but up until today I was struggling with the comfort and constantly getting lower back pain on cycles over an hr. I followed the Zwift guidelines based on my height but today I went total against that, brought the handlebars closer to me and dropped the saddle which actually worked quite well. Anyone have the same issues?
