Ibn Qayyim رحمه الله said: "Your soul is just like your enemy, once it finds you serious, it obeys you. If it finds weakness from you, it will take you as a prisoner." ‎● {بدائع الفوائد ٣/١٢٠٢} This shows the importance of discipline and staying away from everything and anything that harms us whether in worldly or religious matters

Ibn Al-Qayyim رحمه الله said: "Disobeying the desires puts a servant in position that if he makes and oath by Allah in supplication (to receive anything) Allah will fulfil it. So he excutes for him many folds more than the desires that he abandoned." ● {ﺭﻭﺿﺔ ﺍﻟﻤﺤﺒﻴﻦ ١/٤٨٤}

Even if you’re busy and depressed there is always a way to success. And that is consistency, even if it’s little. Don’t come to a complete stop and just close all the doors on yourself. Even if you manage to move 1% that is progress. Some days you might do more and some days you might do less. But no matter what don’t stop. Don’t procrastinate, make change حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُقْبَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏ "‏ سَدِّدُوا وَقَارِبُوا، وَاعْلَمُوا أَنْ لَنْ يُدْخِلَ أَحَدَكُمْ عَمَلُهُ الْجَنَّةَ، وَأَنَّ أَحَبَّ الأَعْمَالِ أَدْوَمُهَا إِلَى اللَّهِ، وَإِنْ قَلَّ ‏"‏ Narrated `Aisha: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Do good deeds properly, sincerely and moderately and know that your deeds will not make you enter Paradise, and that the most beloved deed to Allah is the most regular and constant even if it were little." Sahih al-Bukhari 6464

Umar b. 'Abdul-'Azīz رحمه الله: “The best Jihād is the struggle against desire (al-Hawā).” ● [الآداب الشرعية ١٣١]

قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم : إن القبر أول منزل من منازل الآخرة ، فإن نجا منه فما بعده أيسر منه ، وإن لم ينج منه فما بعده أشد منه. The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: “Indeed, the grave is the first stage from the stages of the Hereafter so if (a believer) is saved from it then whatever comes after it will be easier for him and if he is not saved from it then whatever comes after it will be harder for him.” ● [سنن الترمذي ٢٣٠٨]
