What a day....!
Day 1 Done! Biggest insight: I'm actually on the right track already. I felt like I was off-track (as usual) on the journey to getting better, but it turns out I'm already implementing some of the things now. My open loop is: Sage told me: Open one piece of mail today. Just one. Not all of it. Not the scary one. Pick the easiest envelope in the pile, open it, and put it down. That's the whole assignment. You're not tackling the mail. You're proving to your nervous system that the step before the step is survivable. ๐Ÿ™‚ One word to describe how I feel: Accomplished!
Why I left teaching... overwhelm, guilt & opportunity
The reason I gave up conventional teaching is because I just got burned out! Completely & fully. I grieved deeply (crashed), and then as I started to come out of my bed a lil, I started taking online classes - which led me to realizing that I could start on one of my life goals: to write and publish :) I don't think I'll ever be able to go back to a fixed schedule, nor would I want to ;)

@Christy Cantu Brooks That''s incredible. Basically I burned out completely and my ADHD made it impossible (I only realized that after the fact). It took a breather (crashed) then started taking AI classes and something clicked. I've always loved writing - it's therapeutic to me - so now is this opportunity to publish and sell e-books!
Society and ethics
Does anyone else find that they have such a high moral compass that they are judged for it by others? As in you wouldn't do something that seems unethical or is not for the greater good because if you did it would sit in your conscience and make you feel bad for ever. Or you just wouldn't break the law, because laws are there for a reason, to help keep a structure in society and to help keep us safe. Or even the little things, like not parking in a disabled space, or chucking your rubbish out on the ground. Some people seem to think like none of these things really matter, but IMHO it's the little things that make us who we are, and if we were all more considerate of each other and the laws and ethics of being part of society, then I think the world would operate in a more dynamic flow of energy and interactions. Just my thoughts ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

For me it depends on the thing. If it is something that will hurt someone or the environment then I'm very strict on enforcement, but I Will share my streaming passwords and use my mom's Costco card :)

Hi, my name is Mags, Iโ€™m from Scotland, and I work in healthcare as well as my other job of raising 5 kids! I NEVER normally post on these things but i guess i need to put myself out of my comfort zone to get the most from this....๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ˜ฌ Already done the Snapshot and it hit home - looking forward to the rest of the challenge. Hopefully i can learn to better manage all the usual ADHD symptoms we all know so well and just manage life a bit better. Stopping the negative self talk and generally feeling less overwhelmed and happier would be great too...๐Ÿคž๐Ÿฅฐ
