A single proverb from one soul became the catalyst for another's reflection
السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته I pray this message finds you all in the best of health and the highest states of أمين Late into the evening a few weeks ago, my teacher shared a profound statement one that, by the will of Allah, I initially mistranslated, only realizing my error hours later, الحمد لله Yet, those very words gripped me, drawing me into deep contemplation for hours on end. I became utterly absorbed, setting aside all else I was engaged in. A single proverb from one soul became the catalyst for another's reflection, stretching through the night. Our very first session touched upon the soul, the heart, the nafs, and the body. This reflection continues to revolve around these very elements, unraveling their depths in ways I had not anticipated. I wished to share this with you all, in the hope that, even by chance, you may find some benefit in it as well.

وعليكم السلام ورحمة الله وبركاته، جزاكم الله خيرًا 💠💠💠 Looking forward to this year’s journey. Our family was deeply engrossed in last year’s challenge, and it added a unique richness to our reading of each Juz. Subḥān Allāh, we often revisited the same Juz multiple times in search of the answers or through the discussions that arose as a family. We remain forever grateful for this program and for the tremendous effort you invest year after year, kindling in the hearts of this Ummah a deep love for the word of Allah. 💠💠💠 May Allah place this noble work upon your Right Scales as a continuous charity (ṣadaqah jāriyah) and allow you to meet Him without reckoning on that Day امين يا رب العالمين 💠💠💠 And may He bless us with the means to enter this year’s challenge with the purest of intentions, granting us profound understanding and allowing us to be among those who truly bear the fruits of His words and the lessons we learn امين يا رب العالمين
💭 The Right To Rest 💭
اسلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته I pray you are all in the best of health and emaan امين I wanted to just share something I wrote.. upon reflecting over one of the 10 habits - Sleep / Naps 👇🏼 👇🏼 👇🏼 👇🏼 👇🏼 It's alright saying that your body / vessel has a right over you.. But the question really should be.. Why is it that your body / vessel is tired? Why is your body / vessel exhausted? Have you offloaded those emotions which have you engaged to the quilts? Are you feeding your soul and the body / vessel, that which it requires, to keep it energized.. or do you weigh it down with desires? Is the attachment to the materialism of this dunya, murdering your mental capacity.. to keep up with your physical? Are your relationships ruining the time it takes to respond to your Lord's call? Yes our body / vessel has a right over us.. BUT - Do we 'truly' have a right to respond to what it's currently crying out for.. Internally? Externally? From the heart? From the soul? If we heed it's call, will we be condemned for oppressing our bodies / vessels further? Do we really give our bodies / vessels it's due right.. Is our limited being, exhausted from tiring out the efforts of worshipping it's Lord... If not do we really have a right to gift the body / vessel its 'assumed right' of sleep ??? 👀

Session 3 Takeaways: Barakah in Energy
Session 3 is probably the heaviest session in the whole masterclass in terms of content. I remember my first time teaching this class, we ended up splitting it into two sessions, each was between 90-120 minutes! Then I realized the power of slowing down, giving enough space to interaction and reflection, while making sure that the information is transmitted through other means (such as this Skool group). Anyways: What are your takeaways on Energy management and working to obtain barakah in our sleep, our nutrition, and our exercise? Bismillah!

My mind was drawn to look upon the act of sleep as a form of ibaada. I remembered the effects that sins have on a person in this dunya (There are many, 2 in particular I was reflecting on) (1) Weakens the heart & body (2) Prevention from carrying out obedience Our body is an amaanah as mentioned. The thing is, if we treated it as such, then the means to utilise it, at its peak would be made easier. External factors would align with the internal + spiritual needs. The reality is, these factors are all forms of ibaada. From our diet to, exercise choices, social ventures etc.. yet how often do we consider these things as such. Do we view these tasks as forms of obedience? Which, when unable to achieve, we instinctively consider our state of affairs with our Lord, opposed to what our choices physically manifested. That perhaps we are being prevented from attaining the ability to maintain a healthy balance of obedience, that manifests strength.. For its the permission to be obedient and draw on the physical strength needed.. that is part of what sees that a ' Productive MUSLIM ' may prosper in an abundance of Barakah! 💙 It goes without saying.. this is not the only reason for an inability to engage with obedience or draw on physical strength. These are just my own thoughts and reflections. Forgive me if I've said anything wrong, or hurt anyone's feelings please - for this is from my own shortcomings.. & anything of benefit is from Allah alone.
Appereance vs real physiques
This video reminded me of the section we talked about the health of the body. The most important thing is not appearance, but health itself. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/j3SHTApG5Cs

20. Know that the life of this world is only play and amusement, pomp and mutual boasting among you, and rivalry in respect of wealth and children. As the likeness of vegetation after rain, thereof the growth is pleasing to the tiller; afterwards it dries up and you see it turning yellow; then it becomes straw. But in the Hereafter a severe torment, and Forgiveness from Allâh and Good Pleasure. And the life of this world is only a deceiving enjoyment. 21. Race with one another in hastening towards forgiveness from your Lord, and Paradise the width whereof is as the width of the heaven and the earth, prepared for those who believe in Allâh and His Messengers. That is the Grace of Allâh which He bestows on whom He is pleased with. And Allâh is the Owner of Great Bounty.

The video made me think of how the human feels the need to feed the nafs, boost the ego just to boast.. only to be temporarily pleasing & end up eventually useless, withered & destroyed. Such are the actions that stem from roots firmly embedded into the illusions of this dunya.. and fail to replant the focus on the AKHIRAH and our ACTUAL REALITY. جزاكم الله خيرا for sharing the video
