🌿 POINT 1 — Ephesians 6:1–4 HONOR BEGINS AT HOME - Paul begins by speaking directly to children and parents - Children are called to obey their parents “in the Lord” - Paul repeats the commandment to honor your father and mother - Honor carries a promise of well-being - Fathers are warned not to provoke their children to anger - Parents are called to raise and guide their children in the ways of the Lord Key Truth: Our faith is not only demonstrated publicly. It should first transform the way we love, honor, lead, and treat the people closest to us. Reflection Question: How can you better reflect Christ in the way you treat and honor the people closest to you? 🌿 POINT 2 — Ephesians 6:5–9 SERVE WITH INTEGRITY - Paul addresses bondservants and masters within the social structure of that time - He calls believers to serve sincerely, not only when someone is watching - Our work should ultimately be done as service to Christ - God sees and rewards what is done faithfully - Those in authority are also accountable to God - God shows no favoritism based on earthly position or status Key Truth: Who we are when no one is watching matters to God. Whatever role we are in, we can serve with integrity because ultimately we are serving Him. Reflection Question: Would the way you work, serve, or lead change if you approached everything as if you were doing it directly for God? 🌿 POINT 3 — Ephesians 6:10–13 RECOGNIZE THE REAL BATTLE - Paul tells believers to “be strong in the Lord” - Our strength comes from God’s power, not our own - We are told to put on the full armor of God - Paul explains that our struggle is not ultimately against flesh and blood - There are spiritual forces of evil at work - God equips us so that when difficulty comes, we can stand firm Key Truth: Not every battle should be fought against a person. Recognizing the spiritual nature of the battle changes how we respond—with discernment, truth, prayer, and dependence on God instead of anger or retaliation.
