Tonight we continued our journey through Ecclesiastes and unpacked what it means to trust God through every season of life, even when things don't go according to our plans. We talked about the pressure to constantly achieve more, the dangers of comparison, learning to find contentment in what God has already given us, and why we were never meant to walk through life alone. One of our biggest reminders tonight was that we can become so focused on building the life we're praying for that we forget to appreciate the life God has given us today. ✨ FAITH & FLOW — BIBLE STUDY OUTLINE Theme: Trusting God's Timing, Finding Contentment, and Learning to Walk Through Life Together 🌿 POINT 1 — Ecclesiastes 2:18–26 WHEN SUCCESS STILL FEELS EMPTY - Solomon reflects on everything he has worked so hard to accomplish throughout his life. - He realizes that one day, everything he has built will be left behind for someone else to inherit. - What troubles him is that he has no control over whether the person who inherits his work will be wise or foolish. - He begins questioning the purpose of spending our lives working, worrying, and striving when we cannot control what happens afterward. - Solomon recognizes that even wisdom, knowledge, and hard work cannot guarantee lasting satisfaction. - He describes how people can spend their days consumed by stress and their nights unable to rest. - Yet Solomon begins to recognize something important: the ability to enjoy our work, food, and everyday blessings is a gift from God. - Rather than making achievement the source of our identity, we can learn to appreciate what God has already placed in our hands. Key Truth: There's nothing wrong with working hard, building something meaningful, or pursuing success. But when our identity and happiness depend entirely on what we accomplish, we will always feel like we need more. God never intended for our accomplishments to become a replacement for our relationship with Him. Reflection Question: Have you ever worked so hard toward something that, once you achieved it, you realized it didn't bring the fulfillment you expected? 🌿 POINT 2 — Ecclesiastes 3:1–15 THERE IS A SEASON FOR EVERYTHING - Solomon reminds us that there is a time and season for everything under heaven. - There is a time to be born and a time to die. - A time to plant and a time to harvest. - A time to weep and a time to laugh. - A time to mourn and a time to dance. - A time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing. - Life consists of different seasons, and we don't always get to choose when they begin or end.
