Three things I learned about business in the back of a medical transport
I did not know I had riding in the back of a medical transport to the hospital was in my bucket list. Yet, there I was. Long story short I had numbness on the right side of my face went into ER and although the test came back clear they sent me to the hospital for more test. Now as a speaker here is where I would create more tension and draw out the story but I will not do that to you. All the test came back clear or normal. I did not have a stroke. So what did I learn about business in the back of the medical transport? 1. Strap in business can be bumpy. Although the ride was smooth and not hurried. ( no siren sound or lights) Five straps held me in the gurney. I was held in tight. 2. It is okay and enjoy the squirrel moments when your mind wanders. It went like this. “What deep message is God trying to tell me about this? Oh. Look that is the brightest pink truck I have ever seen” “ What should I be learning for this experience? Wow, that palm tree forms the most perfect ball. So high in the air.” 3..Be flexible. Life throws us curve balls. I had to cancel five appointments. And was in the hospital for 27 hours. In the past that would have been a concern of letting people down and not professional (I’ve had a coach who praised one of her team for making sales calls while her son was in surgery. Really! ) Bonus: Ask for help. In the hospital I was consider a fall risk. So I was “locked” down. Nurses called it jail. They had an alarm on the bed that screamed at me to get back in bed and called the nurse. I had to call a nurse to get out of bed to walk to the bathroom. It was uncomfortable to hit that button when I was really capable to go on my own. But there was something comforting about knowing someone would show up for me. What do you need? Ask we can help you get out of “”jail” or If ya need I will break you out!

Vicky, I'm very glad that you're okay and putting yourself first, as it should be. That is the most important thing! Much light and love.
Honoring you! The rule breaker.
We are rule breakers. Quite rule-breakers, but nonetheless pioneers, creating a trail for others to follow their own rules for relationships, me-time, health, emotional health, and business. Maybe you don't think of yourself as that. However, if you honor your energy, intuition, and speak your truth, then it is true. There are no obligations in the community, unlike others that say you should show up at least once a day. (Several times a day is expected to be normal) Even I don't show up every day, especially on the weekends. My time off and away. I may check in or not. Always know this community is always here and you are always welcome. I adore your guts, grit, and honoring your energy to know what is right for you. I love it when you do show up, share, and comment. Thank you!

Thank you for those words and thoughts, especially in a safe place like this and thank you for creating it. 💛
She slapped me.
Not literally. She asked me when I take time off for me? I said not often. She said, but that is what you tell others to do. Ouch! She was right. She caught me. I was not permitting myself to step away from my business just for me. I step away for family obligations, for vacations, or long weekends. But not to do something for just me. It did feel like a slap in the face. However, I am grateful. So, I set up a facial appointment. And a lunch appointment with a friend. Sometimes, the truth stings yet, I needed to hear it. How about you? What are you doing to take care of yourself?

oh I hear you and glad you will have some ME time (get some more)!! For me it is setting boundries to my husband, since I'm working from home and he is retired (meaning he has a lot of time to 'disturb' me when working. So I was starting a few month ago to take 1 - 2 hours daily in the afternoon for my Qi Gong practise. Meditation, Hypnotherapie, or just reading and here it comes, without being interrupted by my husband. Now I have to work on my 'office' hours, he was in my office three times this morning, while writing a blog.......😉

@Kathryn Wilking yes you're so right, they need a lot of attention and basically spoiling him with attention all these years and now taking time back for me and work is challenging for him. I bear this in mind and it's a good idea to create 'special' time with him. Thanks for the reminder.💛
This is my latest blog. What are your thoughts on Boundary's?
Build a Boundary Fort (It Comes With Tea and Dignity) Inspired by Elaine N. Aron: “Make good boundaries your goal. They are your right, your responsibility, your greatest source of dignity.” Boundaries aren’t walls. They’re soft fences lined with rose bushes and “do not disturb” signs. For HSPs and introverts, boundaries are more than logistics—they're lifelines. Here’s your not-so-serious, totally serious guide to creating boundaries that feel like you. 1. Name Your Energy Zones Color-code your calendar like a magical map: Green = good, Yellow = caution, Red = “I will dissolve.” Honor each zone like it’s sacred ground. Because it is. 2. Practice Saying “That Doesn’t Work For Me” With a Smile. It’s a full sentence. No apologies. No caveats. Smile. Sip. Move on. 3. Create an Auto-Reply That’s Actually Just a Boundary Poem “Out of office. In my bubble. Recharging. Back soon.” Let your autoresponder do the energetic filtering. Boundaries aren’t selfish. They’re self-full. They don’t push people away—they keep you intact. Protecting your energy is not optional. It’s your responsibility… and your right.
