Welcome 2026............. Maybe?
Can ya believe it, middle of January 2026? What has happened that is exciting? What had you hoped would change and hasn't? What are you struggling with? This community is here to help.

I will start. I can not believe the month is flying by. I had a launch planned for the end of January. And have had very little time between other business obligations and family obligations to market it. I had hoped I would have a handle on time in 2026. LOL Okay, I admit that seems a bit outrageous. But Einstein said there is no time. (my words, not his) I block time on my calendar, yet there doesn't seem to be enough time (Not enough is my primary Self-Sabotaging Archetype) for everything. Business, Family, Fun. That is my struggle, wrestling with time. My beliefs about time. And recreating my "to-do's) to fit the calendar. The tough decision is to cancel the launch before it ever gets started or just throw it out there and it not be a polished presentation. I wonder what magic would be created if it were not all mapped out. Himmmm, that sounds like way more fun. *If you want to know what your Self-Sabotaging Archetypes are, reach out. I have an 8-question quiz that will identify it in a matter of minutes. *Thanks for reading. Through this writing, I made a decision. I think I will do the latter. Send out the launch and have a blast creating a practical, magical Masterclass with just an outline and fun. How is your 2026 going?
What is the plan for 2026?
Do you have a plan? Goals? For 2026 Hope is great; having an idea is terrific, but a written-down-on-paper plan? Have to admit I don't yet. I have goals, but no actionable steps written down. Would a one-hour coworking meeting once a month help you get on track and stay on track? No cost to members of this Skool community. Give me a yes or no. I would love to hear from you. Let's create 2026 as the most profitable year.

@Kathryn Wilking this is a big question. How can we address people's needs this year? Your best path is to listen and watch how others are reacting. I have found that if I share what I am aware of within myself, others are experiencing something similar. Remember, though, it is not your job to heal everyone. Just yourself. Hope on a call complementary with me so we can sort this out for you. https://calendly.com/vickiegriffith/the-gentle-power-compass-a-focus-finder-session
Does the thought of the New Year bring optimism or dread?
For me, it is a bit of dread. Starting over from scratch. However, the hope, delight, and wonder overpower those thoughts. I feel blessed and excited for the New Year.

Business Lessons from a Christmas Market River Cruise -One of many
I was blessed to experience our second Christmas Market River Cruise. This one was on the Rhine. We started in Amsterdam and ended in Basel. Every day was a different docking point in the Netherlands, Germany, and France. The Christmas markets are grand and magical. Even the tiniest of them. In Colmar, France, we discovered the investment per stall is $6000 for 6 weeks. Quite a hefty investment. They are required to be open every hour and day the market is open. Usually between 11 am - 8 pm M- S and 10 am to 8 pm on Sundays for six weeks! They can not sell any goods made in Asia. If they break the rules, they are kicked out the following year and are not allowed to return. The guide said there is a waiting list of 90 businesses wanting to get in. The Christmas market brings in 1.5 million people to the town of 70,000. Would you take the risk? Put aside what your product or service is right now. Would you be confident in yourself to invest $6000 without any guarantee? To trust yourself enough to know you can make it work out. The Pro's - the possibility of 1.5 million people walking by your booth The Con's- The initial Investment The added expenses - hiring help - buying inventory. - long hours -drained energy That is what your prospects are doing right now. They are going through the pros and cons of working with you or buying from you. They are asking themselves if they should trust themselves to invest in your product or service. They are also wondering if they can trust you. Many of the booths had the same merchandise, and the price was the same. But some booths drew me in to buy more than others. So, would you invest? Take the risk on yourself? Trust yourself to succeed?
