Fight Procrastination
“Procrastination is a form of ego. It’s assuming everything will remain the same so you can delay what must be done.”— Ryan Holiday Naval Ravikant often frames procrastination another way — as the ego protecting itself from the pain of failure. Read that again. In real estate, procrastination rarely looks like laziness. It looks like preparing. Tweaking scripts. Waiting to feel more confident. Watching one more market update. Telling yourself you’ll make the calls tomorrow. But underneath it, the ego is whispering: “What if I fail?” “What if I sound unprepared?” “What if they say no?” So we wait. And waiting feels safe… until it costs us momentum. Truth be told: clarity doesn’t come before action — it comes from action. The call you’re delaying? The follow-up you keep pushing off? That’s the very thing that builds confidence and pipeline. Real discipline isn’t about feeling ready. It’s about acting before the ego talks you out of it. This week, pay attention to where you might be delaying — and ask what would happen if I took action anyway?

So true! One tip that I've read and already noticed changes is in my "to-do" list. It sounds so simple, but add deadlines to every task. I usually do both, knowing some tasks can linger and others that need to be accomplished by a certain day. Now, everything has a time/day it needs to be finished by and I've been much more productive because of it.

Most of it is kept simple with Google Tasks integrated into my calendar but I also overlap more important items with other tools such as buildout.
Wins & Highlights From 2025!
It's always inspiring and moving to hear wins from fellow agents. It can be anything or a few things that moved the needle forward for you. Maybe a tough deal that was especially meaningful, unlocked ideas in your personal growth or new habits formed that help dial in you process. Can't wait to hear - post your thoughts below.

Brought a new life into this world! That's the best win I can ask for 🙌 This year was definitely rough and unexpected but looking back, all I can be is grateful. Too many failed deals to count but also going into next year with confidence knowing I've been filling the pipeline with opportunities that will make for a great year.

@Matthew Antonis 😂 true! We did end up completing that 80,000sf cold storage deal! That was a tough sublease but ended up pulling through with little time to spare. Landed above asking price on the rent and the tenant took on more space than we initially expected. Definitely a highlight of 2025 deal-wise
The Power of an Intentional Morning Routine
How you start your day quietly sets the tone for everything that follows. Before the emails, the calls, the meetings, the demands — there’s a window in the morning where you get to decide who’s in control: you, or the day. An intentional morning routine isn’t about perfection or checking boxes. It’s about alignment. It’s about creating space to center yourself before the world starts pulling at your attention. In real estate, we operate in an environment full of unpredictability. Deals change. Clients react emotionally. The pressure is constant. When your mornings are rushed, reactive, or unstructured, that chaos has a way of following you all day. But when you slow down just enough to be intentional — even for 20 or 30 minutes — something powerful happens. You gain clarity. You regulate your emotions. You sharpen your focus. You reconnect with your purpose. A strong morning routine becomes an anchor. It reminds you why you’re doing this and who you want to be as you move through the day. This is where discipline begins — not at the first call or meeting, but in the quiet moments when you choose growth over distraction. Whether it’s movement, reading, journaling, prayer, gratitude, planning, or simply sitting in silence — the practice matters less than the consistency. Over time, that consistency builds confidence, resilience, and momentum. An intentional morning doesn’t guarantee an easy day. But it prepares you for a strong one. And in a business that demands your best, showing up grounded and focused isn’t optional — it’s a competitive advantage. How you start your day is how you lead your life.

"Make Your Bed" by William H. McRaven is a great read that applies to this. Start your day with the small accomplishments.
The Power of Local Market Mastery - Happy Friday!
In real estate, there’s a level of knowledge that separates average producers from true market authorities — and it can only be earned through discipline, curiosity, and consistent connection. When you truly understand the ins and outs of the area you work — what’s under contract, what’s sold, who owns what, each owner’s motivations, tenant needs, upcoming vacancies, expiring leases, development patterns, zoning pressures, and shifting demand — you stop competing… and start leading. This isn’t surface-level data. This is insight, and insight is what gives you real leverage. And here’s the truth most agents overlook: AI can’t give you this level of intel — but you can. Not because AI is limited…But because the most valuable information in your market doesn’t exist online. It lives in: - Conversations with property owners - Check-ins with tenants - Walk-throughs of neighborhoods - Stop-bys with business owners - Brokers sharing deal whispers - Agents updating each other - Subtle market movements you only notice when you're present This is the kind of data that isn’t published. It isn’t indexed. It isn’t searchable. You learn it by showing up. You earn it by being curious. You keep it by staying organized. And once you gather this rich, real-world intelligence, something powerful happens: Your pipeline becomes predictable and your conversations become more valuable, positioning you in the market as an undeniable player. Because when you can speak to: - Why a property sold - Why another one didn’t - What an owner is considering - What a tenant is planning - Which assets are quietly being prepped for market - Which landlords are unhappy with their current situation - Where hidden opportunities are emerging …you’re no longer guessing. You’re advising. That’s the difference between being just another agent and being the one people turn to when they’re ready to make meaningful decisions.

Great points - Notebook LM is my new favorite. I just did a BOV last week for someone purchasing a business + real estate, he wanted to make sure that he was paying FMV on the real estate. It was definitely more challenging that I anticipated because it had a mix of retail, office, and industrial, but after a ton of back and forth (with myself) using CoStar and other resources, I ultimately went with my own market knowledge and instinct. Long story short, I presented the BOV without knowing what he was paying and turns out it was the EXACT value the buyer and seller agreed on. Had I listened to CoStar and AI, it would have been way off the mark. Buyer was happy knowing that he wasn't over paying and can move forward with confidence. Just further validates the expertise that we bring to the market! 💪
Hopefully everyone is having a great day!
Daily gratitude isn’t just a feel-good habit—it’s a powerful shift in perspective that recalibrates your entire day. When you intentionally pause to recognize what’s going right, you train your mind to look for progress, opportunity, and possibility—even in challenging seasons. Over time, this simple practice builds resilience, sharpens focus, and boosts overall well-being. One of the most effective ways to anchor gratitude into your routine is journaling. Putting your thoughts on paper makes them tangible. It slows you down just enough to appreciate the wins you might otherwise overlook. And on the tough days, your journal becomes proof that there’s always something valuable to hold onto. Start with one thing you’re grateful for today. Keep it simple. Keep it consistent. Small daily reflections compound into a stronger mindset—and that mindset becomes your advantage in life and business.
