"AI Slop" — or are we just scared of what's possible?
Let's talk about the elephant in the room. Everyone's throwing around the term AI slop right now and yeah, I get it. The internet is flooded with lazy, copy-paste AI content that looks the same, sounds the same, and says absolutely nothing new. But here's where I push back: That's not an AI problem. That's a creativity problem. AI doesn't create slop. Uninspired people using AI as a shortcut create slop. The difference between slop and something extraordinary is the human behind the prompt. The vision. The intention. The willingness to ask what if instead of what's easiest. We are living through the most democratised creative era in human history. Tools that used to cost thousands and require entire teams? You can access them from your phone. Today. AI avatars alone have completely shattered the rules. You no longer need to be on camera to build an audience. You no longer need to sound like everyone else, look like everyone else, or regurgitate the same recycled content to stay relevant. You can build a character. Tell a story. Create a whole brand universe: faceless, fearless, and entirely your own. And people want to call that slop? The ones calling it slop are the ones using it to churn out 47 identical videos with the same aesthetic and zero soul. As much as i love a good motion sync dance video, the ones winning with AI are using it to do what they never could before which is to expand their creative horizon, move faster than their competition, and build something that actually means something. I truly believe it's time for AI Creators to stop recycling and start creating. The tools are revolutionary. The question is....are you?
