After 2 years and 2 months of active playing finally reaching this rating zone. This was very long process but not planing to stop! It's just the beginning!💪
@Lucas Brown My goal is reaching 1800 at least till the end of this year. Don't know what to answer. Since i stared active playing from 400 elo, i had a lot of ups and downs, cause it took me a lot to figure out a game principles because i knew only how to move peaces. So i was watching a lot of chess videos and was trying to work on every aspect of game, but it didn't worked a lot of times. Especially around 1200 i was stuck for a couple of months, deeply inside knowing that i worth more, but never been able to break on 1300. In many games i had advantage but because of one mistake i would loose winning position and freak out, so i would start new game that angry and connect a couple of defeats. I think that now i just figure out how to stay more calm even if i lose, or make mistake during the game, and that just works. Also better positional understanding have big impact, but i think how that coming with a lot of games.
I’ve seen people resign and high-level chess, but I keep on seeing videos that say to never resign. Is there some rule that I should follow? Anything would be helpful.
Never resign. People who are in high-level chess knows to evaluate positions and they know that chance for opponent making a mistake is very low, almost impossible. Players under 2000 still have some chances to make a blunder and losing position for you turn into wining one.
