Today a new ADT client was made due to knocking the wrong door. Obviously it was the right door because the proccess ran smoothly, and that happens for one reason, time and place. Myself and Jon Gould were riding around running a route and happened to knock this door that was next door to the lead we had marked as a new homeowner. Upon talking to the gentleman he has used ADT in the past, currently he was paying 90 a month for a wifi based system, and in all reality fell in love with the Google nest cameras once we mentioned the specs on those bad boys. Having a vision of knocking 100 doors a day or leaving 500 flyers on doors a day are all quick routes to easy wins with quick marketing you can naturally design yourself. My first mentor taught me to count the nos because your that much closer to your next win, I'd go out get 20 not interested and that 21st person was expecting me. When pitching it’s easy to hear no in the beginning and walk away. Start counting how many it takes to hear a yes. Practice saying feedback loops to keep the convo going and see how many nos you can get until you realize you had a buyer all along and they were just throwing smokescreens. Is it 4 Is it 12? How many nos does it take for that yes.
