@Trey Foster I had to check! It is Sheffield 4D. New to the pottery studio - it is getting good reviews from the newbies in my Weds class. It is very easy to throw but has good body. Fires brown.

Hello Potters! (You know if you know) Mike from Upstate New York here. I’m just rediscovering a passion for clay after a 39 year break. Back in 1989, I was just out of graduate school and in my first year as a student affairs professional at UNH. It was a rough start (I was part of the university’s student conduct staff) and needed something positive. I took an intro to throwing class at the community art center. I enjoyed it a lot and was not terrible at it - I still have a few pieces from then. But life and work happened and, boom, it is almost 40 years later. I’ve retired and recently started pottery again - and I couldn’t be happier! I am happy to join this community and learn about your journeys. Many thanks to Trey for sharing his passion and knowledge.
